Everyone was friendly and the food was excellent.We were passing through town and saw desserts on the sign. We grabbed a few desserts, but saw they also had a full menu and decided to stay for dinner. Everyone was friendly and the food was wonderful. We'll be back the next time we are in town.

Oh how I was looking forward to eating at ShugaBear's! What a disappointment that I had to walk out. Daughter and I came in to eat today. One other couple in front of us waiting to be seated. No big deal. A 2 top opened up and the waitress said if they wanted to grab another chair to make room for their other person who joined them. After a table in the back left the waitress said she would clear a table for my daughter and I (she did ask the couple she sat before us if they'd prefer the larger table. They were happy sitting where they were) In the meantime 4 people walked in, and not bothering to notice that we were waiting for a table, they proceeded to the table that the waitress had just cleared for my daughter and I. Waitress came up and apologized and said another table was opening up. She said "well I'm not supposed to sit you at the table in the back anyhow ". Excuse me but you were going sit my daughter and I there until 4 people with lack of manners proceeded to enjoy our table. The waitress should have informed the table that there were other people in front of them waiting for a table. If she did not feel comfortable doing that she should have gotten a manager to inform the people that they took a table that was not meant for them. Terrible customer service. Don't know how the food was but it sure looked good.

Whoever is NOT giving this place five stars is just wrong. Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS. I highly recommend the sweet potato fries and the banana pudding cheesecake. Hands down, worth every single star and more!!

My son and I chose to eat lunch at Shugabears yesterday after a recommendation from someone at a local museum in Walhalla. We are so glad that we took that person's advice.Located conveniently on the main part of the square, there was a huge variety of foods on the restaurant's menu for both breakfast and lunch. We focused on the lunch menu (burgers, sandwiches, wings, pizza, calzone, pastries, danishes, scones, donuts, cinnamon rolls, speciality made cakes, etc.).The food was freshly prepared and was phenomenal. My son had the Sasquatch burger and homemade fries, and I chose the special of the day, a cuban sandwich and sweet potato fries. Both meals were absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were large. The owner said they prepare each meal fresh when ordered and.use local meat and produce vendors.We had had a difficult time trying to make up our mind about which desserts to buy. While we were too full to eat them at the restaurant, we gladly took some cookies, scones, etc. home with us for later. (My pictures do not do these justice because of the glare from the glass.)The owner was super friendly and the service was great. They have a super cute atmosphere. The restaurant and the restrooms were very clean and fresh smelling.They sell a wide variety of cutesy gifts and food items.We would highly recommend this restaurant. I do not think you will be disappointed.

Nice folks and great treats. Just went for dessert this time - pastries and ice cream. The pastries were tasty, and the ice cream was some of the best I've had. I'll definitely be back and will try a meal next time.Oh, and while I didn't partake this time around, they have a crazy assortment of sodas.
