Went in Tue night 3-19-24 for karaoke as I'm a friend and fan of the karaoke DJ. whom I've known for a LONG time. I met the owner Glenn and he seemed very nice. First initial impression was that I liked what I saw. Its a nice size bar..... Not a fan of the location of the men's room as its tucked away in a far corner of the bar. Also not a fan of the female bouncer who looked like "Boy George" and later saw that they drew in what seemed a fairly large "gay" crowd. I should point out that I had no interaction with the bouncer but just felt she/he most likely couldn't do the job "it" was hired for. Then after Glenn left (owner) they had a shift change and the night shift tall slender female bartender basicly shut down the bar and getting a drink was next to impossible as she was RARELY behind the bar. I was also THREATENED by a unknown customer at the other end of the bar who made a gesture (twice) directly at me..... as to indicate he was going to cut my throat. After karaoke was over, I had a very difficult time getting a Uber to pick me up (despite my 5 star rating).For me...... I felt I encountered too many problems to make karaoke justifiable so I don't plan on going back.

I'd heard good things about their menu and decided to take my teens for dinner since other plans fell through. The bar was full when we arrived a little after 7, we took 2 tables near the bar, no hostess or server. A bartender came over to take our order, sweet tea was unsweetened, replaced with soda. Several employees (I assume bc the owner was passing out tax documents to them) seemed to be hanging at the bar, not sure if they were on the clock or not... took over an hour for food to arrive, many to go orders ahead of us apparently. Appetizer came out with the meal (personal pet peeve), but everything except for one sandwich was hot and fresh. Loved the app sampler and fries, my drink was well made and strong, however I really wanted the food to be better. Mac and cheese looked amazing, but there was a strange flavor that kind of got caught in your throat, wraps were ok, limp lettuce too much dressing. Atmosphere was fun, good music, lots of games, I'll definitely come back just for drinks with the adults. I wish they'd had one dedicated server for the night (although I understand it was a quiet Tuesday) to lend a hand running food and whatnot. Full disclosure, the owner is kinda sorta family (lol divorced his nephew), so I wanted to love it but felt meh instead.

So this past Saturday the 13th of January 2024. I celebrated my 50th birthday. The party was very nice, they let us come in earlier to decorate an everything. Glenn and his staff were wonderful very accommodating. They helped out as much as possible and made sure we were good. Of course the Food was excellent. I had no complaints. I would definitely recommend Chances bar and Grill for any party event or even just to hang out…..

It was the best club sandwich I have ever had. And, the sweet potato fries were too. My husband fell in love with his French dip too.If you are in the neighborhood, don't miss this place.
A low-key local bar with cheap drinks and good food. Dart boards are free to play, and pool tables are $1 a game. Touchtunes jukebox has a wide variety of content available. I highly recommend this place.
