“Very cool place! Both our pizzas were great! We got the Thai pie and pear and prosciutto. The atmosphere is cool too. A los key vibe to watch some sports but lots of windows so it feels more open than a typical sports bar. Highly recommended.“

“Stepping into the Diving Elk, you feel sophisticated. This gem is one of Sioux City's best as far as restaurants and bars go in the area with an evolving, seasonal menu that will make you want to try something new every time you visit! Don't sleep on the classics like the truffle fries and brussel sprouts though, there's a reason those always stay. Also try out their weekend specials! After your visit, you'll know why this place consistently has a "Siouxland's Best Bar Tender" nominee. They are experts in their craft with an incredible selection of cocktails and craft beers. Sioux City is lucky to have such a trendy, vibrant spot for the foodies out here.“

“The staff at Sushi Bamboo are very knowledgeable about the products they create. Please try the signature teas and other specialty drinks as they are all wonderful. Plus do you like ice cream? The mochi ice cream sticks are to die for. The miso soup is my personal favorite in town. 5/5 stars“

“Great authentic food from a family-owned restaurant. We went Sunday afternoon and the family were there and served us. It almost felt like being at home. Food was excellent and service impeccable. I loved my pad Thai and my friend loved the spring rolls and noodles and her Thai tea.“

“Awesome little coffee shop/sandwich and soup place! As a new transplant to Sioux City, I figured I would try to explore some of the restaurants right across the border in Nebraska. Can’t say I drink much coffee, so can’t rate this place on that — but stopped in for lunch & got a wrap with a bowl of soup…both were amazing!I also found out when I went there — again, out of towner — that they have a soup and salad bar for $9.99 (I believe) — $7.99 special price on Mondays. The salad bar looked LOADED with options from what I saw & they had two fresh soups on there in kettles.Highly recommend this place — it’s a MUCH better alternative to a place like Panera taste-wise and you are supporting a small business — how can you go wrong?“

“Pizza was amazing! The sauce was all the way to the edge. (Which I prefer) The crust had to be homemade one of the pizzas had a puffy but crunchy texture like it was from a stone or brick oven. Just wow thankfully these reviews helped find a good pizza joint.Greeting on the phone wasn’t happy or sad just neutral. The lady seemed a little dry when it came to customer service. Pizza made up for it though. Highly recommend this pizza ?. Thank you for this great tasty pizza.“

“This review is actually for the date of 5/3/24. My husband took me to Main and Abbey to celebrate my birthday. A.P. and Paige went above and beyond as always. They always make us feel so welcomed and wanting to come back! I can't thank you enough for making me feel so special-means a lot! The filet and scallops were excellent!“

“I love Monterrey. Very affordable. I love how they have two locations on two sides of Sioux City, it’s very easy to access. I get the Beef Classic fajitas. Never can go wrong with their cheese dip! Tastes perfect with their chips and I even put some over my fajitas too! Very fast as well!“

Update for 2022 and new location.Nice new location, food is still great, homemade chips, salsa is great. Still recommend!! No bad experiences in 2023; ate there probably 12-15 times.“

“I have ordered takeout and eat there, it is delicious... (tacos, burritos, gorditas) I invite you to try their dishes. The only detail I see is that you only pay in cash and although the place has an ATM, to withdraw cash... it is easier to pay with a card.“

“I've been coming here quite often for 2 years now and it's my favorite restaurant in the area. The staff is always friendly with me and they have great Viet food and special dishes from time to time that are limited. Even if you're not hungry, they have great coffee, Thai tea, and smoothies! Highly recommend!“

“We stopped by while traveling and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of food. We all had sandwiches/burgers/wraps and they all were delicious! I got the Buffalo chicken wrap and it was delicious! The fries were super crunchy and tasty. Great prices on menu as well. Service was a little slow but I’ve had much worse before.“

“The food is delicious, but be aware! The veggie burrito is absolutely full of mushrooms. I didn't expect it, and have a terrible allergy to them. Mushrooms aren't listed on the ingredients, so having eaten 2 bites thinking it was sautéed peppers was very disappointing. Learned an important lesson. Now to find something I can eat there.“

“The BEST breakfast in town. My kiddos love it. The coffee’s delicious, they have a “Mexican coffee” that’s got a little tasty twist to it. I love the Mexican burrito with steak. The service is always polite. Always a treat to come here.“

“Red Lobster revolutionized the idea of what makes a restaurant a restaurant. Their staff goes above and beyond creating a homely atmosphere that yields all walks of life. The mastermind behind this heavenly home of hearth? One Miss Emily Blatchford. Truly a gift to the industry and looking forward to seeing them continue this great service.“

“The service was fantastic, the food was….okay. We were expecting a little more pizazz for the price. It was nice to have such a large selection of vegan and plant based options, even it it was a bit underwhelming. The wasabi has more of a kick than most restaurants we’ve tried so that was a plus. Nice ambiance “

“I don't leave reviews... but here we are. I'm From San Francisco, grew up in the mission and love food. I'd stack up these tacos to anything I've had back home, San Diego or Mexico. Great meats, their pastor is my favorite. Whenever I visit my in laws this is my new spot. I've been coming to Sioux City for 15 years now and this is by dar the best Mexican I've had here.“

“We were passing through on a month long vacay and asked 2 strangers on the street where they would recommend for lunch. They both said Soho. We are from south Louisiana so we know great food, lol. We walked down there and immediately loved the vibe, we’re greeted by 2-3 people. I tried the spicy chocolate PBS ?? (amazing). I ordered the popper topper burger (omg) & hubs ordered hot beef with gravy and mashed potatoes. He made a huge happy plate. Met Ben, one of the owners, real stand up guy and Nico(f) was our server, never left us hanging. 10/10“

“Was so busy. The worst part the beer was 6 bucks and it was happy hour. Also 1st they gave my wife the wrong salad than gave her the wrong main meal. The real only good side our waitress had nothing to do with serving the food. She was fine and checked on us plenty of times.“

“4.0 While a nice crispy waffle, are definitely at best cornmeal waffles. Barely a taste of cornmeal, definitely not cornbread waffles. The bell peppers are red and the skins are all that's there, surmising the flesh disintegrated because so they used frozen chopped. No jalapeno at all that I could taste or see. The andouille was diced way too small, the same amount but a larger dice would have added to the flavor combo. The chicken was prepared perfectly. The gravy was nice and light and didn't compete with the syrup. Syrup didn't come across with a bourbon caramel taste but it was a nice compliment to all the other seasonings. I'll come again and try something new. I had a lovely New Zealand Monkey Bay Sauvignon Blanc.“

“Was in town for a tournament and happened upon this place by chance. It was packed, so I sat at the bar. Service was outstanding, and it had such a hometown feel, and everyone seemed to know each other and was having a good time. My Grasshopper was great, as were the fried mushrooms, recommended by the bartender lady and pizza. I highly recommend this place and would go here again if in town.“

“Tacos are a food group, that is not a question. Need converting to that fact? ?Head over to 6th & Pearl to Tacos El Guero for delicious street tacos stuffed with your choice of meat. Today was carne asada, chicken, onion and cilantro. Grab a bottle of hot sauce from the fridge case for the table ? salsa verde sweet and yummy as always. Washed it down with some cantaloupe drink. Cash only (an atm is onsite), street parking that’s free on the weekends, closed Monday. Worthy stop if tacos make you happy.“

“My favorite place in this area! They always have great food and service. Weekend nights can be busy so call ahead if you want to sit at the grills. Their ginger dressing and veggies are to die for. I’m a vegetarian so I can’t speak for the meat but it always looks good. Very much recommend trying if you haven’t!“

“Pizza and breadsticks were pretty good and we had good recommendations from the staff. They were kind as it was our first time here. The restaurant seems very dated, and the layout of having to get your drinks at the bar seemed a bit odd. There are rooms in every direction and it was very dark in some of them. There was also a salad bar in the corner that seemed a bit neglected, and also chips and salsa which felt odd. Could be a cool place, and we would consider coming back but it felt a bit confusing on the inside.“

“It wasn't anything the server could have done to make the atmosphere better... There was a family with two children that should have been in nap time instead of lunchtime..Parking: There was free parking, but backing out was hard to do to make sure you didn't get the car behind you.“

“Order some takeout during the game on April 1st. Burger and a side salad. 13. Whole dollars. The burger was cooked perfectly and very delicious and the side salad consisted of a very nice spinach based salad with some romaine leaves, cheese,, croutons, chop bacon and some tomatoes. Probably one of the best side salads I've had ordering takeout. Actually got me wondering whether they gave me the wrong one. And I stay at at least 150 hotels a year. I've ordered food from all the national chains that you normally find at interstate exit. Texas Roadhouse, outback, Red lobster, Applebee's, and too many local establishments to list. If you're anywhere close and it's lunch or dinner time. Definitely give them a try“
