Best cream filled donut. It tasted exactly as I remember when I was a kid. Came back to the area after 20 years elsewhere and was excited to have one again because these donuts are only in the Midwest. I could smell them as soon as I walked into the store. So happy to have one again! These are a special treat.
Long Johns, Bismarcks, Fried Cinnamons. If you know what I'm talking about, good. And Zem's does them better than anywhere else I have ever been. When I trick my friends into coming back to South Dakota with me, Zem's is a must stop. My friends walk in and say, "what the hell is this s***** And then, one bite of a Long John and they are hooked. Next thing I know they are munching down donut holes and blueberry fritters. This is an amazing bakery in terms of quality and deliciousness!! Old time donuts and baked goods! Not like so many donuts you get at Walmart or HyVee. These are the real thing and homemade! A hidden gem especially for those that aren’t local, a A+ for those of us that are. I love donuts!
