My family and I went to dinner for a birthday meal and were seated over two hours and never received our order. I fully understand restaurants are busy, I asked if we could pay for our apps and drinks so we could get our kids home and the owner refused and called the cops. There were other customers that refused to pay that night! Fantastic business model! This is not a reflection of the waitress, she was fantastic, thank you for that!!!

We took our son out for his birthday. We had an initial wait of 20 minutes and weren’t seated for 45 minutes. I get it that restaurants get busy. I understand you have to be patient however, the patience was tested throughout our experience. Our server was good in what seemed an impossible situation. Our appetizers were served in an acceptable time frame. Our side salads were served but were served with communal toppings passed on to other tables. The server kept on top of our drinks. Then we waited 30 minutes, no entree, asked the waitress and she said they were on the grill but could bring the grand kids their grilled cheese. 20 minutes and still no entree. Asked for the manager and he stated it is being plated now. We stated we were leaving (this was 9pm and had to get the grandkids to bed) and wanted to pay for what we have consumed already. Manager said the food was ready and did we want a to go box. We stated we just want to go and pay for what we had so far. He said “we can’t do that”. We said we are leaving and let us pay for what we have eaten and drank. He then said he will have to call the cops. And there you have it folks. Daughter in law and I took the grandkids to the car while my son (on his birthday) and my husband sat and talked to the police. Needless to say we paid for half of the bill and went home and cooked steak.

The signature 24oz bone-in rib is best steak hands down! Favorite meal out of the entire year, perfect meal after a day of pheasant hunting in either Pierre or Mitchell. Don't forget the chislic appetizer...grilled or fried...both fantastic pre-steak appetizer. Service was top notch - Matt had our back in Mitchell for both Friday and Saturday dinners. Thanks Matt! See ya next year!
