Food lost stars because they were only able to cook a frozen pizza, so I would love to come back and enjoy some food?. Stan and his crew was some of the best people I've ever met!!

We having been stopping here for several years now on our way to the black hills. We stay at the Sioux Motel (nice), and have dinner here. The burgers and fries are great!! You can order at the bar and full menu in the restaurant. We have never had a bad meal and Stan is a very colorful guy. We love to stop here.Parking: No worries on the parking

Showed up around 6:00p.m. in the middle of the week just to grab something for a long car-ride home. Stopped in and the hospitality was spectacular. Everyone was extremely friendly and patient as we glossed over an unknown menu. We eventually ordered to go and had a bowl of soup while we waited. The soup of the day was ham and bean and was hot and fresh. Salad and soup is self-served and the salad bar looked fresh. If I ever head back this way, I would recommend stopping back at the Buffalo Bar.Kid-friendliness: Has seperate seating for families and seperate seating for the bar.

My friend and I were traveling to Wisconsin from the west coast. We decided to stay in Murdo for the night before the last leg of our trip in the am. We stopped in at the Buffalo Bar to have a few cocktails, play some pool and just unwind. Everything was great. Stan, the bartender, was more than hospitable. We had a really good time. Can't say enough about Stan. He made us "out of towners" feel right at home. Although our hotel was only a few blocks away, Stan even offered us a ride back, as it was a fairly chilly night. Outstanding service. Drinks were great and atmosphere was perfect.

Stopped in late evening as we were driving thru and looking for a place to eat. This restaurant was the only one open. Surprisingly good food and good service by the staff. Recommend to stop in if you are in the area looking for a place to eat.

Seriously, this sweet little town is losing a restaurant per year. The Rusty Spur and Star Restaurant are no longer. Hubby and I rolled into town and stopped by this establishment. We weren't particularly hungry so we ordered the ham and bean soup with a side salad. The soup was literally water with great northern beans, diced ham and probably a bag of frozen mixed vegetables. I'm used to a ham and bean soup being thick, smoky and hearty. The ham is supposed to be so tender it melts in your mouth. This ham was crunchy. I also am used to cornbread on the side with a boatload of butter. We got saltines. ?. Salads were fine. We also had an icy cold Blue Moon. Our server was fantastic! I hope this sweet little town rebounds. The natives are fantastic. Hotels and food need updating.
