I like the homemade rice crispy treats and that's it.

Food is almost always overcooked, undercooked, and sometimes even both somehow. Nutrition is abysmal unless you want to eat lettuce and the same 2 fruits from the salad bar every day. Food, drink, and condiments regularly run out and are rarely replaced during meal times. Operating hours are not ideal. I shouldn’t have to deliberately plan my schedule just so I can eat.Vegetarian options: Very limited vegetarian selection. All vegetarian options are secondary and only exist because some dishes are inherently vegetarian. They do not go out of their way to make vegetarian dishes.Dietary restrictions: Allergens are rarely, if ever, marked, and cross-contamination is extremely prevalent. A huge risk for anyone with allergies.Kid-friendliness: Would not recommend letting kids anywhere near a place with a large concentration of mines students.Wheelchair accessibility: Not necessarily inaccessible. However, they’re are definitely some tight squeezes and serving yourself would prove challenging.

Food is dangerous to eat. There are no ingredients lists posted, and cross contamination of many foods is evident. When allergies are brought to the attention of the food staff, the staff brushes them off. It is a well-known rule on campus to never eat the chicken, and to stay away from meats in general due to improper cooking. Food is rarely fresh, especially the deserts and salad bar. It is left out all day to rot and is still served to students and guests. During important events where many guests are expected in the dining hall, the staff will set out fresher food and more accurate signs. This is not to say that the food is fresh or accurately labelled, but the quality noticably improves. Such events include career fairs, parents visits, and the weekly Campus Kids visits. Many students avoid eating in the dining hall for various reasons, but most reasons are due to health concerns and the disgusting food.In general, the dining hall is one of the worst places I've eaten at. I've lost a lot of weight after being forced to eat there my freshman year, and the food provider Sodexo has been very unhelpful and unwilling to work with me. The staff at Sodexo and the staff who work at the dining hall clearly don't care, and that directly affects those who eat there. Buying a meal plan is expensive and mandatory for all students who live on campus, so it is UNACCEPTABLE for this dining hall to have this kind of service.

The food quality is inconsistent and regularly downright abysmal; its often inedibly overcooked or dangerously undercooked, unseasoned, and disgustingly grewsy. The allergen and dietary restriction options are abhorrent. They regularly label a spread of varied desserts as "may contain tree nuts" when only one dessert is applicable and the "tree nut" is peanuts... a legume. Further, allergen and nutritional is virtually nonexistent, and cross contamination is rampa

They some how cook out the nutrients so you feel even worse than before you ate there.

Food is horrible. Meat is almost always undercooked. Food is not labeled when allergens are present. Not diet friendly for vegan/vegetarian people. Also bad if you have any digestive issues. And let’s not forget that everything is somehow wet and dry at the same time.

The quality of food is bad, and the preparation of the food is worse. When your food isn't still raw, it's charred to a crisp. Sometimes it's both. Wish I could give 0 stars.Vegetarian options: They claim to have vegetarian options but in reality they do not have a sustainable option for vegetarian students.Dietary restrictions: I would not trust things to be properly labeled if I had any dining restrictions.

Forcing students to eat here should be considered a war crime. This is unsurprising considering Sodexo’s (the catering company) propensity for international crime. I wouldn’t feed this food to my worst enemy, there are simply more efficient ways to kill people.

While the food has definitely improved in quality over the past year, I still feel disappointed by nearly everything I've had eating here.

Student here at Mines, food has definitely improved since all the One-Star reviews were left (all from a looong time ago), there's definitely room for improvement, but a good place for first-time freshmen to eat, or at least a good place to eat occasionally if you can buy your own food to cook during the week

I wish I could give zero stars

All the reviews are from a year ago, and having lived on campus for that long I completely understand why they're all 1 star. That said, I still gotta say, it's cheap as far as buffets go, and although you usually won't find super quality food, at the very least you're guaranteed to leave full.

My bun. Mold.

The chicken has more sodium than you should have in an entire week! I almost died on the first bite.

Cameron Tirpack

Not a single part of my chicken was cooked. I wish I could give this place 0 stars.
