If you like mediocre food with a hint of smoke flavor that looks like it came out of a crockpot then this is the place for you. ** edit after the owners reply, if you also like to be called an idiot by the owner on social media, definitely eat here. ** If you've had good authentic BBQ you'll probably want to avoid. Nice place, nice people, but not your typical "BBQ" joint. Brisket looked and tasted like roast beef, ribs dry and way over done. And the "chili" is a weird tomato paste with a little spice and roast beef thrown in.

Probably the worst BBQ I’ve ever had!!! I couldn’t tell the difference between the brisket and the pulled pork. Mac and Cheese was mushy and disgusting. My son had the catfish and that was Ok. I wouldn’t ever eat here again. First red flag was crockpots sitting on the counter!!

Sauce’s & ambiance are great, brisket is not…reminds me of mom’s Sunday roast beef, not a smoked brisket. Owners should take a trip to Texas….or take in some YouTube’s…or invest in a Traeger?

We decided to eat at backyard BBQ today in siouxfalls, we were pretty disappointed to say the least. I must add this was our first time here and didn’t know what the food would be like but we assumed it would be fresh and not sitting in a warmer for god knows how long. The brisket tasted like mushy roastbeef, the 2 sides were tiny and definitely tasted like they have been sitting for days in the warmer. It was $32 for two of us to eat there. By the time I got done paying my food was on a plate at the other end so obviously nothing was made fresh just pulled right out of the warming container. Our first red flag should have been walking in on a Saturday at 12:30pm and being the only two people in the place. I wouldn’t recommend going here to eat. Any other BBQ place I’ve been to blows this place out of the water.
