I give them one star for providing slightly edible food. We were there for 45 minutes and all they brought out fresh to the buffet was a small dog food bowl of sweet and sour chicken. There were empty pans of food that were never restocked. And the food that was there was cold and tasted old. On the plus side our waitress was very nice and attentive. We spent $50 for two adults and a toddler for the worst food that I have ever had in my life.

I am a local resident and frequent Jade restaurant many times. It has always been good. I don't know why a couple of reviews give it a low rating; they must work at the other place. I hated to see the prices go up but everything else has too. Enjoy!

The food tasted like it was yesterday's, and cold. The coffee looked like it was from yesterday as well and I did taste it which confirmed it. Absolutely the worse effort for presentation of food in a buffet I've ever seen! The store bought almond cookies were the most delicious part of the offering.

Some of the buffet food was pretty good, or would have been, if it was even remotely warm. Ice cold and just keeps getting scraped to the middle of trays. Vegetables in dishes were completely raw for the most part. This was at 6pm, so not an off time of day. Look up inspections of this place. This complaint has been noted in previous inspections and cleanliness is an ongoing issue in their inspections.

The staff were friendly enough but it was flat dead in there tonight (Saturday around 7pm) and the buffet food was old and cold. Literally we were the only ones there. From a business standpoint, I can understand why the food might have been out for a while, but from a dining standpoint it was cold food that made me concerned about possible food poisoning. Not sure if my experience is the norm, but I was very surprised that this place has a higher than 4 star rating.

New owners… I ordered broccoli beef and it smells and tastes very weird. Almost like chemicals or burnt plastic. The wait staff they hired were practically wearing pajamas and they were like 30 or 40. Very weird vibe. No longer offering delivery so you have to order on DoorDash which is double the price. I opted for carry out.

It’s a great place for Chinese and one of the rare buffet left if you want to eat there. It is an older establishment and could use an updating. But food quality and taste are as good as a good Chinese spot.
One of the best buffets I've found in this corner of south dakota. The food was like heaven to my taste buds. Id give it more than 5 stars if I could, to be honest. The curry noodles, amazing. Good job guys, keep that stuff up!

Ok, we're just visiting Spearfish but my husband and I are world travelers.This is the most amazing freshest, homemade Chinese food we've ever eaten!! And it was still super hot when it was delivered. It's Not the prepackaged salty or sugary stuff found every where else. I'll always make a special stop here now as we travel.I would give them even more stars if I could.What an unexpected surprise!!
