Went to the Caesar Mill in martinsville today with my sister and daughter. Was having a great time. Ordered a drink each. Ordered the special chicken sandwich asked the waitress how spicy it was she said not spicy. Got the chicken burger took one bite and my throat and mouth were on fire. So I asked another waitress to go get our waitress so I could tell her you know this is very spicy. A man came up to our table and stood there. Didn’t say a word. So we stop our conversation and said hello. He said I’m here about the chicken sandwich. So my sister was like ok are you the manager or owner he was like yep so she explained how she asked the waitress about the intensity of the spice and when she took the first bite it was a way to spicy and couldn’t eat it. He stood there and said it wasn’t spicy then just stood there not saying anything. Then walked away. Our waitress left for the day so we got another waitress she was fantastic we explained everything to her she said I got you went into the kitchen and the “ owner” came over again. And this time said oh do you want your bill so my sister said I will pay for what I ate and drank but I couldn’t eat the chicken sandwich so I shouldn’t have to pay for it. Then he said oh you’re paying the whole bill or I’m calling the cops. I was so in shock I just sat there. My sister tried to calmly say well I couldn’t eat it because of the spice you would offer me anything else to eat you never explained who you were when you came to our table I don’t think I should have to pay for the sandwich. Then he proceeded to tell us we were all banned and we were to leave immediately because at this time my daughter was so disgusted with this man she just paid for the whole bill to get us out as fast as possible. He was behind the bar when we got our coats on and proceeded out the door I was still in shock at how everything unfolded so quickly and poorly as we were walking out the door to the parking lot he approached us and finally smiled have a good day. Well at that time my sister had enough of this icky icky man as she called him at this time. And told him to leave her alone so he still proceeded out to the parking lot yelling by this time how we are banned for life. And we should change our attitudes whatever that means!! Anyways I know there are people out there who own business!! And in good customer service this is how it should have went down !! the owner comes to the table introducing himself as the owner what seems to be the problem here listens to their customer and tries to resolve the situation at least offer them something to eat other then what they have and cannot eat.! Not threaten them to call the cops and then ban them for life over a $5.00 special. We used to go there once a week not now or ever!! I am still in shock on how we got treated over a $5.00 chicken sandwich! Unreal!
