Took my husband here for his birthday! His meal as ok, mine however was not! I ordered the Trout, roasted vegetables, roasted sweet potato’s. The trout was way undercooked, in fact the thicker part was RAW! The waitress was sweet, took it back and my husband refrained from eating his meal, feeling bad for me and not wanting us to eat alone. This meant his was now cold by the time they brought mine again. Roasted vegetables consisted of one vegetable and the sweet potatoes 2 slices, had burnt on the edges! This was a BIG disappointment! But they did give me a whole $6.50 off the $140. bill for two!

Firsty, the building is very beautiful and very old. Yes, it looks stunning but the bathrooms and private dining room we had were very cold, as we were here in the winter months. I suppose it would be difficult to heat a building like this, but it does make the experience uncomfortable.The menu is... limited to say the least. Not to say the food isn't good, because it is, but considering the limited items for non-meat eaters (not me) and the price points... its hard to recommend. I've been to places that are of a similar pricing proposition with much more modern menus and variety with massive portions. If I take into consideration the food quality vs. Price, i don't think I'd be back.This could all be ameliorated by a level of service to match the silly prices. However, our waitress was snippy, argumentative and was unable to handle serving such a large group alone. Thats a staffing issue, either assign additional help to a large party or give them a waitress that isnt flatly rude and argumentative. The fact that you force a gratuity on top of high prices and poor service is a joke.Not for me.

Best lunch meal I’ve had in a very long time. The chicken sandwich was elevated & had such a burst of flavours. A side of winter salad was generous, perfectly mixed dressing throughout with pecans, feta & dried fruit. Yum! Our server was excellent! Beautiful chandeliers, elegant surrounding with cloth tablecloths & napkins. Loved everything about the experience.

This is a great place to celebrate a special occasion. Great service. Great food. The menu is vey small but everything on it is executed with excellence. Bring your wallet though this place is not going to be cheap.This is THE ONLY place to get lamb in MJ and it’s wonderful.

The setting was lovely and the food was excellent. I had the shrimp and lobster pasta and it was great. We were 11 people and everyone enjoyed their food. The rib eye steak was a particular favourite. But it was our server, Ellena, who really made the evening for us. Thank you, Ellena and Grant Hall!

A cousin made a reservation for a group of us. She could not have picked a better place. Our server Ellena was a lot of fun. After dinner even had an area set up to take a group photo for us. Dinner was so good and lots of food. My only disappointment was I was too full to try out their dessert which I have no doubt would have been delish.

This restaurant was great from beginning to end. The room was lovely. The food was marvellous and our server was terrific. I had the shrimp and lobster pasta, a few of our group of 11 had the ribeye, one had the fillet: all of us enjoyed our dinners immensely. But the highlight was our server, Ellena. She was knowledgeable and professional but friendly and fun - not always an easy balance to achieve. And after dinner, she willingly set up a spot for a photo of the 11 of us, which made the evening really special. This resto is truly a hidden gem.

We had drinks in the lounge and then went to our table in the dining room. The dining room is beautifully restored; six very large crystal chandeliers hang from the dining room ceiling. We ordered a couple of starters and then shared a main course which in this case was steelhead trout. Unfortunately it was overdone however to be fair we had not asked how it was prepared nor had we specified how we wanted it prepared. Service was OK - could have been a bit better but the dining room was busy. Overall it is a lovely place have a lovely dinner. We had breakfast here the next morning and were very impressed with the food and the service.

Very impressed with Grant Hotel and their accommodation of our small event. Communication ahead of time was great, prompt replies and they were very patient with us. They accommodated a private room for us on short notice. The server was fantastic (short red hair) and food was delicious. We highly recommended the Grant Hotel.
