“The Food was good. Pretty standard "elevated" pub grub, tacos and burgers and the like. Some vegetarian dishes with soups, salads, impossible burgers, and a cauliflower option for the tacos (which I ordered and really enjoyed). At the table there were orders of fish and chips (a massive portion), the spicy dill pickle colonel chicken sandwich (reported to be delightful), and the chicken version of the tacos (didn't get an opinion on that but there were no complaints and, assuming they make them the same way as the version I got, just a bird instead of a plant, then I'm gonna go out on a limb and say they were pretty good too). Also there was an individual who couldn't wait for the late lunch / early dinner we were having so they got subway at the Brandt Centre ahead of time and just ended up ordering soup because they were already full and didn't finish the soup...The soup was a loaded potato. I tried my partner's, who got it as a side with their chicken burger. It was good, creamy, smokey, and pretty heavy, which is probably why the unnamed individual didn't finish it having filled up on cold cuts and bread not more than an hour before.Lots of beers on tap, a good number being local or independent brewers. There were a number of regular offerings as well as rotating taps for seasonal and limited runs They are not a brewpub, so, while I can't give them credit for making the beer, I can say the wide selection and quality of what they bring in was excellent. There wasn't really anything on the menu that I would call bad, only some things that were outside my preference). The manager was at the bar when we went to look at what was on tap and he was really friendly and helpful. I ended up going with a sour from Pile O Bones (previously reviewed...I may have been hammered at the time) it was fantastic. There was an issue with a funky Caesar. It was replaced and comped. Our server seemed new. They were a bit unsure of themselves and our orders, but put in the effort to confirm things before letting them get out of control. There was a lot of, "who ordered the ????" and i would have knocked them down a bit for that but given how they handled the caesar, they earned some stars back. The atmosphere was nice, it wasn't too loud at the time, but we were between traditional meal hours.“
