So here I am all excited for a night out with my best girl (who i might add, is looking pulchritudinous as ever with her lovely banana nose). I order the shepherds pie and she orders the chicken tikka masala. The chicken tikka masala arrives and it looks great. Only problem is, instead of being served with yogurt or cream as is done traditionally, the dish comes with canned whipping cream as a substitute. Whipping cream from a can, the kind that goes on pumpkin pie. Can you believe it? And when I mentioned to the server that this seems odd, she indicated that the dish is normally served with canned whipping cream. I could understand canned whipping cream as a substitute for milk on something like Capt’n Crunch, but on chicken tikka masala, I don’t think so. I’ll be lucky if she ever speaks to me again. Try harder Knotted Thistle, govern yourself accordingly.
