Does not appreciate student business. Never in my life have I been asked to move rudely from a table somewhere when I had a meal and drink in front of me. There was an abundance of empty tables. I had 2 friends that were 5 mins away from meeting me and were going to get supper but we ended up going somewhere else after this. Have spent hundreds of dollars there and this is how I am treated. I have heard that other students have had this happen to them too. Clear this is not a student friendly cafe, there needs to be signs if they don’t want people on laptops. I find it really bad to let us spend a lot of money on food then treat us so poorly when we sit down to eat just because we have a computer out.

NOT A STUDENT FRIENDLY CAFE.We got there at 9:15 and pulled out our laptops after ordering a french vanilla latte and a bagel. The owner came to the corner of the room and stared at us throughout our visit at sporadic times. The bagel also took 10 minutes to get there. At 10:40 the owner sent someone to tell us we had to clear the table for lunch hour, when there were clearly empty tables around us.I proceeded to ask the employee whether or not we could stay if we ordered lunch, and she referred to the owner who said that if we wanted to stay we had to get a two person table. She also said that we could only stay for 1 hour after lunch and not two hours (so she was watching us and tracking how long we were there for). After I talked to her, the owner sent an employee to ask us if we needed help moving tables. The other people around us who were there before we were or at the same time did not have laptops and were not asked to move.Overall a terrible experience, not student friendly and the owner will stare at you and track your time spent at a cafe if you bring out a laptop.

Kicked my friends out of the restaurant who were only there for 80 minutes, and were consistently ordering coffee and food, simple because they had their laptops out. Doesn’t appreciate the business of students, will not be going there

I frequent this cafe alone often to study. I usually have pleasant experiences and the food is always great. The owner seems to have an attitude. I went there today by myself and got a table number. I walked around the place and there were tables of 4 and 3 open and a couple tall stools the fron t. Often times I sit at the front cause I can sprawl my school stuff over more space, but the lighting from the window makes it hard to see my laptop and today there were already a couple ppl there so I settled at a table of 3. The owner came up to me abruptly and said “if you’re a table of one, you sit at a table of 2 or near the front. You can’t take up a big table, we have a wait list.” Then she separated a 4 top for me , I understood & and I went to sit there. However, no group was sat at the table I was previously at for quite some time. Then, 3 different tables of one sat at that table (I was there for 3.5 hours) , the last two groups of one the owner sat down and was chatting away for many minutes. I found the way she approached me to be too confrontational, and hypocritical how she treated the people sitting alone there afterwards. In my head good service would be something like “hello, we are so happy to have you here but we just got a rush, & have a table of 3 trying to get a seat, would you mind moving to the front or breaking apart a smaller table so we can seat them here?” Instead of making me feel stupid for doing something and then allowing others to do that same. I also was unaware of a line behind me cause when I ordered there was one customer behind me.

The food is great here, especially the soups. Service is great even when they are very busy. However, how hard would it be to label your baked goods?? It is extremely annoying trying to guess what is in the display cases not to mention slows the line down because people have to ask. There are so many signs stuck up at the front, why not labels?!!!

My husband and I are new to the area so we thought we’d stop in for supper. We both ordered a salad and his came out first. The server asked if there was anything else we were waiting for. I said my salad. At least 10 minutes went by and I could see they had not even started making my salad so I went to the kitchen to see where it was. I was told they were working on it when I could see they clearly were not. Was another 5-10 minutes before my salad appeared which meant my husband had been sitting with his in front of him for 20 minutes all the while waiting for mine to appear so he could eat his.My salad was extremely under dressed so I again went to the kitchen to ask for more dressing. Instead of oh I’m so sorry here’s more dressing the server began to tell me where the dressing was.I know this all sounds trivial but it truly put a damper on the experience for us. Needless to say we will not be returningMaybe that’s to be expected when you tip before you even receive your food

Guaranteed to turn a 6 day into a 9. The soup and sandwich combo was deadly. I would go on a 5 year pilgrimage if this soup was waiting for me at the end. When Mr. Campbell goes to bed at night, he probably checks under his bed for Tish.

Salty soup ,worst than canned soup...the egg in the egg sandwich is like fake egg, the grilled cheese sandwich was terrible I'd be embarrassed to serve that in my home.

Love coming here! The soup is always a good bet, and the desserts. They always have something vegan for us lactose intolerant folks, which I really appreciate! We had the sweet potato soup, vegan coffee cake, and vegan cookie. Everything was delicious and toddler-approved!

Amazing food. Please let the public know in the front door "No students with laptops". You turn off the WiFi for students looking for a cafe to study, so it would be nice to be aware we are not your type of public and shouldn't spend here. The owner openly told me you turn it off bc there are too many students staying for hours. It's okay, just let us know beforehand to go somewhere else.
