I went to this place yesterday and everything was fantastic. I arrived early like before their open time, and they still let me in to wait my friends. Food was 100% fresh, I saw the whole process of their prep unintentionally, they always bring up fresh food from the kitchen. The Chinese herbal spicy broth was so delicious, and it goes with every ingredient of a good taste. The service was fantastic, that girl was so patient to explain the whole process and everything bc I’ve never been to the restaurant. She always carries a good smile and I loved it. Def come back to this place!!!

This was a dismal experience. To be fair, I’m not well acquainted with Asian ingredients so making my own soup posed an extra challenge. Little guidance was offered. I didn’t understand the process or prices until after receiving a $120 bill (for two teens and one adult). Some of the ingredients didn’t look fresh at all. I love to support local Saskatoon restaurants but unfortunately won’t be back to this one.

I took my daughter (16) here for lunch. I told the host/server that we had never been here before. The host explained the process and we were on our way. I was very surprised when the bill for the 2 of us came to over $70 when the lunch special was $17 per person. I brought this to the hosts attention and she tried to explain that the special was only on Wednesday’s (the sign clearly says “weekday”) and she said I didn’t ask for the lunch special. So in the end, I have no idea what happened. Nothing was explained and no solution offered. Just be prepared to spend a lot of money.
Authentic and delicious! I reminded me of hotpot in Taiwan! From selection of meat to seafood and vegetables to mushrooms. The dips were also great! Never been to a hot pot before. Had one of my kids was with me who could explain everything. You order a soup that is delivered in a metal pot that sits on a hot plate built into the table. You then go to the buffet to select ingredients. By the time you get back the soup is boiling. Put the ingredients into the soup and let it cook.

I had an amazing experience at Sunan's Garden Hot Pot! The ambiance was cozy, the service was impeccable, and the variety of ingredients for the hot pot was outstanding. The flavors were absolutely delightful, and I couldn't get enough of the mouthwatering broth. It's definitely a must-visit for hot pot enthusiasts. Can't wait to go back for another flavorful adventure!
