I’ve never really had an exceptional experience at the Berry Barn restaurant. The food is always served lukewarm and doesn’t ever seem fresh, as if it comes straight from sitting in a crockpot for days. And, to be honest, it’s really not that flavourful. The front host/hostess is always stressful to deal with; they won’t seat you until your whole party arrives. I don’t want to drive all the way out there just to sit on your front bench while waiting for others; I want to feel welcomed and have a drink in the restaurant while experiencing the atmosphere on the riverbank. I would rather spend my money where I feel like a valued guest. Walking around outdoors at the Berry Barn is amazingly beautiful though.

I've been there once & they will tell you it's different than regular blueberries but it's legit just regular blueberries... lol

Not only is the Berry Barn a great place to eat, but it’s also a beautiful place to get married! We had a wonderful autumn wedding - it was perfect! Thank you to the staff and maintenance crew for keeping up such a incredible place! It’s a delightful visually appealing space.

Me and my partner came for breakfast and it was our first time. It was a buffet since it was Sunday and it was very mediocre and not a lot of selection, food wasn’t super hot either, warm/cold. For 2 people and 2 coffees our bill came to $85. We were both shocked. Definitely not worth people driving out that way and paying that price. There’s a lot of better breakfast spots to go to in Saskatoon that are a way more worth you while and $$

Berry barns is a cute establishment with nice scenery and a cute gift shop. The food was really good too, also reasonably priced and a decent variety. The service was not the best. We waited a long time for food to come out, and some of my fries were cold. We were told to pay at the front but it was very disorganized and unclear where the line was. Staff didn’t seem to really know either, we were just told to go find the line. The lineup ended being in a section in the gift shop and in an aisle of products, so as we were in line waiting, people were trying to get by to look at things on the wall. I think for how busy it is that payments should be taken at the tables. It was very annoying and the layout of the place is not ideal for how busy it is.The nursery area has a lot of garden / outdoor products but a lot of them were expensive and looked as if they had been there for ages- rusty, dusty and faded. I understand the gravel nearby makes it difficult to keep up with the cleanliness of the nursery, but I personally don’t feel compelled to buy their dusty products.Overall the place is really nice and worth the visit, just be prepared it to be busy and for slow service.

I found this restaurant in a tourist guide and decided to give it a try. There are multiple options between savoury and sweet for lunch & diner. I had their set menu for diner time and it was absolutely delicious. Portions are very generous.Service is fast and impeccable.

A fantastic place to visit. The garden was maintained beautifully. We had to queue up for the restaurant, and it's well worth it. I enjoyed the most the Saskatoon berry pie. Must try.

Drove from downtown Saskatoon, not too far and nice to see some of the surrounding countryside. Spent the wait in their shop, which wasn't bad because one of us needed a new pair of non-prescription sunglasses, which she got. Were seated in the very pleasant semi-outdoor area, with a view of the river and the grounds. The Ukrainian-oriented menu wasn't really our thing, but no matter, we found chicken tenders and fries for one of us and a large tasty tossed salad for the other. But the main attraction was dessert and the one and only Saskatoon Berry Pie. As the menu itself states, "It's what you came for!" and in our case, we came from New Jersey for it. Then afterwards we took a leisurely stroll around the grounds, seeing the river, the saskatoon berry orchard, and so on. A great time start to finish.

So here we are, going to the Berry Barn with expectations based on decent previous experience. We get there on a week day, it’s pretty laid back. No strollers allowed so I had to take the car seat with my kid in it to go inside. when we enter the place, there is no one at the front so walk in a little further and that’s when a lady with no smile or nothing orders us to go back to the front like we did a crime. Bold guy comes with less of a smile, makes us walk all the way to the front again just to grab menus. The genius of this guy. Then he asks, how many people, and after he asks are you eating desserts or food. Like I’m supposed to make up my mind while standing there. We say we gonna sit then decide like every other restaurant on planet earth. Again, the genius and the customer service is out of the ordinary here ladies and gentlemen. This rude guy walks us to the table, drops the menu. Anyway. Vibes is pretty tense in my opinion, we don’t want you here type vibe. We order the food. Food comes. Some salads and drinks and what not.Eat some salad, and BAM! There is a walnut shells in the salad. Bit right into it long sharp walnut shell. Again, I didn’t crack this walnut myself from a grocery store. This is a salad with walnut and everything else. You shouldn’t have hard sharp stuff in your food. The food safety authority will tell you that. It’s also common sense but not for the bold guy.We call our server. She comes checks in. Goes to the kitchen and tells them. Comes back says can I take the shell to the kitchen. Takes it. We thought that’s what she’s doing. This “server” throws it away. Comes back and says it was just a walnut it’s fine with a straight face. Call your manager. She calls him. It’s the bold guy. He says what’s the deal, we tell him, he leaves and comes back. Says it’s a walnut. At this point these guys are just gaslighting our whole table. We say bring it and let’s see if it’s a walnut or a shell. He goes comes back, it’s gone, it’s in the garbage. Doesn’t matter buddy go dig out. He goes come back apologizing saying yes it was a shell and says it’s not their fault. he removed the salad from the bill like it was a great favour he was doing. Rude, terrible service, food is mediocre. Idk how they operate tbh. Will never go here again. Used to be mediocre now it’s garbage.Do not bother responding with the generic follow up guys. Save your time.

I live in the Chicago area and just spent a week in Canada. What an absolute treasure this place was! Outdoor and indoor gift shops were nice and the scenery was beautiful. The food was out of this world delicious… by far the best meal I had during my trip. The pierogies were outstanding. We tried all of them: cottage cheese stuffed, potato stuffed, and the Saskatoon berry stuffed. All of them amazing! My wife loved the homemade pasta noodles. And the waffle and subsequent trip to the waffle topping bar was unique and of course tasty. The next time I visit Saskatoon, I will definitely return here!!

So glad I stopped - even though out of my way. Had a wonderful lunch (pierogies and cabbage roll) and took a to-go meal for dinner at my hotel in another city later that evening (Cabbage Borscht , homemade roll and Saskatoon pie)..All of the food was excellent and the grounds beautiful.Service was prompt mid week. Gift store/cashier area was too crowded for leisurely browsing but I was in a hurry anyway.
