Mamma Galinas food truck came to my office today. I'd reviewed their menu before they arrived and was excited to try a few things, especially the fried lasagna. Sadly, their food truck menu wasn't the full menu so I was disappointed that the fried lasganga wasn't a available. The food truck menu was extremely limited so I went with a pizzin which is pizza on garlic bread. For $9.99 I wasn't impressed with the size of the pizzini, it was rather small. The flavor profile was delicious however it was so messy! The toppings slid off the naan and it was just a greasy mess and not easy to eat. It also had some burnt edges. Finally, the prices on their website do not match the prices on the truck. The pizzini was $1 more than the website and gelato (which they only had 3 flavors) was $2 more. Overall I wasn't impressed with Mamma Galinas.

My visits to Mamma Gallina's have all been wonderful. The Godmother, my favorite sandwich, is absolutely superb every time. My other favorite is the Italian nachos. WOW! Unreal. And then I always top it off with the amazing gelato. A wonderful meal EVERYTIME

Anybody who has read my stuff should know I'm no big sandwich fan, but the panini I had here today might change my mind! Freshly made, hot and flavorful I was seriously impressed with it. The folks running the truck were very nice and shared with me they'd only started up recently. I don't know how they'll do in downtown Knoxville today, but when I see them here again they certainly will get my lunch money!
