Went to sweet pea’s with my coworkers for the first time today. The food was pretty good but our waiter, Connie, provided terrible customer service. She was very passive aggressive. I ordered dessert to go and she just brought it back with no bag or plastic ware. I asked her for those 2 items and she did not acknowledge me when I asked and just walked off. I guess she did hear me because she did bring the items I asked for shortly after. When bringing me and my coworkers forms of payment back, she managed to call out all of my coworkers names when giving them back their cards but paused when she got to me and did not give me that same acknowledgment. This was a very disappointing experience all because of the waiter. I will not be back.
I have always had a pleasant experience when dining in at Sweet Pea's. Everyone is pleasant and friendly. On today March 20th the service was very poor. I was seated as soon as I walked in. I was seated at table #3. I sat there for over 10 minutes waiting for someone to come and take my drink and food order. Everyone around me had a waitress being very attentive to them, except me. A couple walked in and was seated 10 minutes after me, and the waitress came and took there drink orders. Brought the drinks to there table and no one had still come to my table. I got up to ask the lady that placed me at the table, who was my waitress? She stated I will go and get her. At the point I did not want to be waited on. I left and I probably want ever return.

I don't frequent it often, but I'm always pleased with this mom-and-pop sort-of dining eatery. It's real Granny's kitchen. The portions are filling & the cost is reasonable. I even manage to take home leftovers sometimes... And, I love having leftovers. I ordered the catfish, 3 sides, & sweet tea on my last visit. I haven't tried a great deal of the menu items. I know what I like & I stick to just that for the most part. I also don't eat red meat & Love good veggies. But, I'm sure the menu can be very satisfying as a whole.Parking: There are multiple businesses on the same lot & each is in high demand.
