The name fits, nice cozy place with nice BBQ and nice people! Had the pulled pork, beans and mac & cheese. Love the beans just the right amount of kick, just like in TX. Will have to try the brisket next time as confirmed the family is from TX.

We waited outside on Sunday until 1:00 when their hours on the door and website state they open. They never opened. Other people were also outside waiting, and were also disappointed. Come on man.

WONDERFUL little place in an adorable town! We came in towards the end of the evening and they were about to lock up early since they were mostly sold out of food. We had grumpy, hangry kids and they took such great care of us! Both kids claimed they didn’t want BBQ but once they tried their pulled pork, they scarfed it down so fast and wanted more. They were wild about it! The owner and his family were there, and they were incredibly kind. Delicious food and amazing people! We’ll be back! 10/10 recommend!Kid-friendliness: This is family owned and operated, and the staff was incredibly kind to our family :)

Alley BBQ is AMAZING!!! The brisket is on point! As a Texan, I’m quite the snob when it comes to rating my brisket. Alley BBQ definitely deserves 5 stars! The sides and smoked pecan pie were so delicious as well. An added bonus was for sure the awesome service and fun conversation with the friendly owners. Although I ordered takeout, the restaurant was very clean and had an awesome atmosphere. Will definitely dine in next time. Local residents, RUN don’t walk to this lovely addition to our community.

BBQ ALERT…there’s a new Texas BBQ joint in the hamlet of Bell Buckle, TN!!! I was walking around Bell Buckle and as I rounded the corner I was stunned by the sweet scent of BBQ and could not resist entering Alley BBQ. I met Madilynn McReynolds at the counter whose smile lights up the room and was very welcoming. She told me they have been open for about 5 months and the smoker sits behind the restaurant. I can see where the name of the place comes from, it’s about as big as an alley so seating is limited.I decided to go with the Cowboy Sampler and the sausage, brisket, and chicken option plus some beans and potato salad. The brisket is on point with a subtle smoke flavor, very tender, moist, and a nicely seasoned bark. The chicken was tender with a light smoke and the sausage had a nice pork flavor, not overly seasoned, and the casing was firm. I really enjoyed the potato salad, very different flavor as it included chunks and pieces of green olives, sadly I wasn’t a fan of the beans. They also make their own BBQ sauce, a sweet & smoky flavor and really compliments the meat.I also met the McReynolds family…was a pleasure to talk BBQ with Jeremy and Crystal, wonderful folks who are intent on providing a good experience for their customers. Overall a solid offering of Texas style BBQ while the service and atmosphere is awesome.

We were in Bell Buckle this afternoon for Daffodil Days. We saw a new BBQ spot so we decided to try it out. It's a family run spot which we loved to see. They had their kids helping out. We owned a busy food truck in Southern California and did the same thing. It warmed my hearts. The woman working kindly told us the wait could be 10-30 minutes for the food, which was no worries. It was busy. We went outside to wait with our dog. 30-40 minutes went by and we got our food to go(because we had the pup - we couldn't stay inside). We made the short walk to the picnic area by the caboose and excitedly opened our food. Everything was ice cold. Not even Luke warm... But ice cold, like it got bagged up and then sat in expo waiting to go out for a while. It was such a a disappointment as we were so hopeful. BBQ just doesn't hit the same when it's cold. We got the cowboy sampler plate, a pulled pork sandwich, a brisket sandwich, a sausage and one of each side (minus the Mac- sold out. And four drinks-$65ish with tip). I would definitely get a sausage (big sausage on a stick -$5) again when we're in town... Very tasty. Everything else was so cold, it just didn't taste the way it probably should have.I know this place is new, so I hope they work out the kinks. We've been there. Starting a food business is a rough go. As soon as you can, hire some help to get your food out quicker and more efficient so it doesn't sit in expo. Waiting isn't an issue for us, but waiting for cold food is such a let down.I'd also recommend petitioning the city to see if they'll allow converting the parking spot in front of your location to seating. The entire town could benefit from additional exterior seating areas in proximity of the food sellers.

Hands down the best brisket I've ever had! And at a very reasonable price. From the moment we stepped into Alley BBQ, the aroma of smoked meat and sweet barbecue sauce was a warm embrace on a chilly Bell Buckle day. The place, though modest in size, was bursting with character, adorned with vintage country memorabilia that told stories of the family's deep-rooted love for good food and great company. But let's talk brisket - oh, the brisket! It was nothing short of a masterpiece. I had the special which was brisket, on top of cheese, mashed potatoes, with onion and jalapeño... each bite was a tender testament to the 18 hours of slow cooking over (I think) hickory wood. The edges had the perfect amount of char, giving way to a melt-in-your-mouth center that was rich in flavor and steeped in tradition. The family's hospitality was the cherry on top. They greeted us with genuine smiles and treated us like kin. Their passion for barbecue was only matched by their dedication to making sure we left happier and fuller than when we arrived. Just an hour south of Nashville, close to a city known for its music, Alley BBQ hits all the right notes with their brisket. It's a symphony of flavors that I'll be singing praises about for a long time to come. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed the BBQ. Not a big place for big parties. But I'm sure you can get it to-go. It was just right for us.

We were visiting Bell Buckle from Nashville and Alley BBQ was an unexpected highlight of our trip. We actually planned to eat at another restaurant but stopped here for a snack due to a long wait. Not only was the food great, but the family who owns the restaurant was so kind and friendly. We happened to order something they were out of, and they more than made up for it by generously offering us other items off the menu at no charge. We also brought home a jar of pickles from the selection of products from their farm. I’m not sure how often we will be in Bell Buckle, but we’ll be sure to stop here each time.
