We ordered an appetizer and after almost 40 minutes of waiting we finally asked the waitress what was taking so long…she informed us the kitchen was working on a catering order! Don’t accept catering orders if you can’t also provide food for your dine-in customers!!! There were only three tables total in the restaurant and none of us got food in a reasonable time!! Our entrees also took forever to come out…

I brought 15 college students for lunch to Athens Family Restaurant and we had an exceptional time. Mohammed worked carefully with me to plan a "traditional Greek" menu that was both delicious and affordable. All of my students raved about the food, particularly the Moussaka and Pastitsio. Plus, the restaurant itself is quite nice, roomy and comfortable. If you like traditional Greek food and want a nice comfortable time that won't break the bank, this is the restaurant for you.

The gyro sandwich was the best I have had outside of Greece! The fries helped top it off for a great meal. My wife likes eggplant much more than do I. She was in love with the baked eggplant platter she ordered. The service was very friendly and efficient.

The food was so good. I love the Greek soup (lemon, chicken, rice), I also got the chicken soulvaki plate that came with a salad and pita. I ordered a side of rice as well. The salad was very fresh, chicken was cooked when I ordered and very well seasoned, pita bread was perfectly warm with yummy hummus, the taziki sauce tasted very good. I couldn't leave without trying a dessert. I ordered the bouyatsa. Oh my goodness, it was fantastic. The service was inviting and awesome. Monique was my server. She is so sweet and took very good care of me. I love the ambiance, such a cute place. There is patio seating. It is located around the corner from the beautiful Belmont University campus. It's such a cute part of town. 10/10 highly recommend

On an overnight visit to Nashville, we searched for restaurants near the rental we were staying in. Athens showed up, and since we both like Greek cuisine, we decided to check it out. We’re glad we did. My wife had the Greek Platter with chicken and I had the Bacon Lamb Burger. She really enjoyed the platter and brought the leftovers when we left (wasn’t about to leave them behind). And the Lamb Burger — oh yeah, baby! It was done to order and delicious. Also, unlike some places I’ve had burgers, the patty didn’t get lost in the bun. Count me a fan of the Athens fries that I had with it; you can’t go wrong with feta on fries. I saved just enough room for a piece of baklava (soft, warm, drizzled with honey, sprinkled with cinnamon). Color is satisfied! Oh, I can’t leave this out: kudos to the young man who waited on us. He was very friendly and attentive. I hope he’s there next time we stop in.
I thought I didn't like Greek food, until I experienced the food here. The service was great and the waitress was very attentive and helpful when it came to remembering allergies that my Mom has when it came to food handling. I was with a group of 12 including myself and everyone loved the food. The pita bread was excellent. The waitress gave me a bag for it, which was unnecessary because since I've now experienced fresh, hot, pita bread it will not make it out of the restaurant. Hope this helps ?

I just celebrated my birthday at Athens with 6 friends. The food was incredible, the service excellent and we were treated like they were our personal chef as if we were in our home!
If you order through UberEats ... this is our 2nd time having the driver arrive to the restaurant and wait a significant amount of time for our order to be done. The original estimate was 25 minutes... the final arrival time was almost double that. Get it together, Athens! Too many other great options that can actually complete orders timely ... Our last time
