Had to go with a 3 stars because my mom really enjoyed her food and I enjoyed the decor/atmosphere. That being said, there was a lot of excessive waiting when it wasn’t busy. Not something I would normally complain about because I’ve worked in the industry but it was kind of over the top. My eggplant parm was eggplant jerky. I couldn’t cut it with my knife or my teeth. The last bite I had tasted only of either mildew or mold. Either way I stopped trying to eat it. Would not go back or recommend.

The food is delicious but I feel like the prices are higher than what they should be for what they are selling. Our server forgot our drinks, didn't bring items requested, etc. I ordered coffee and had to request it 3 times before it was brought to the table. At $29 for an entree, I expect better service than what was received.

The complimentary fresh bread with herbed olive oil was lovely. Crab cakes appetizer was delicious. Enjoyed the chicken piccata entree and had plenty left over to take home. Atmosphere was warm and cozy. Despite it being very busy, it didn't get so loud that we couldn't hear each other talk, which is a problem I encounter at a lot of other restaurants.Kid-friendliness: The tables are covered with paper and crayons are offered for the kids to draw on it and keep them entertained. Many booth options which is easier for seating small children.

Molto bene! I am an American girl of Italian descent, and I’ve had some delizioso cibo italiano - this was my first time at Amerigo but it will not be my last! Not only was I impressed with the menu options (happy they weren’t the typical offerings at all other Italiano ristorantes) absolutely delighted with the food, and thrilled with the impeccable stellar service from Rebekah! My second favorite server in the Nashville area… only because my daughter is my first. ?

Amerigo is our go-to Italian. We live close so it's easy. Last night was as good as always although I will have to say, our server was one of the best!! Always a good experience.

I recommend making a reservation, because why wait if you don't have to? The service was great. The atmosphere was more dimly lit, which is always nice. I ordered a spiced pear mule. I wasn't paying attention and didn't realize it was a mocktail when I ordered it, so I asked for a shot of Titos vodka to pour into it. They accomodated. I also had eggplant parmesean and the peanut butter blondie. The eggplant was good, but I would probably not order the blondie again. It was just okay. Overall, it was a nice meal and experience.

We loved that the restaurant was quiet enough that we could hear each other (a rarity in restaurants). The food was great - the service from Rebecca was terrific. Our group gets together monthly and this was our first time to gather at Anerigo's but it will not be our last. We will return!

The waiter seemed a little cranky and impatient, it was Valentine’s day so maybe he was stressed. Overall good food and enjoyed the visit but felt like we should rush out soon.

Always dependably delicious and an enjoyable dining experience. Our very excellent server, Rebecca, welcomed us and was attentive without being intrusive and efficient without our feeling rushed. My salmon, served Rebecca's way, was cooked to perfection-not overcooked. Hubby ventured out and ordered the sirloin au poive and loved it; also cooked to perfection. I ordered a mocktail and the bar created a delicious concoction of cranberry-orange and lime juices. The check was ans reasonable and it gets these days. It was an good evening-we will be back.

Great neighborhood restaurant. Been coming here off and on for many years and have rarely been disappointed although they've had a few hiccups along the way. On our most recent trip, we were a party of three and ordered the following items: calamari appetizer, shrimp bisque, caesar salad with blackened salmon, carmelized salmon entree and the sea bass special. The sea bass was the star of the night and was absolutely exceptional -- my son could not stop raving about this dish which was accompanied by horseradish mashed potatoes and sauteed veggies -- superb! My husband ordered the carmelized salmon which he really enjoyed but said was a bit on the sweet side. My caesar salad was the least successful dish of the night -- it was literally just a bunch of romaine lettuce with a few croutons on top -- just very blah. I asked for dressing on the side, which I generally do because I am not big on overdoing the dressing, which was a good call this time because the dressing was as thick as molasses and lacking in flavor. We ordered a bottle of the St. Francis Chardonnay and it was a very good wine for the price. Service was good and meals came out quickly. I asked for a booth when I made the reservation online and we were seated in the bar, which was just fine. The hostess was not too friendly but for some reason, that didn't bother me. All in all, considering the price of dining out these days, Amerigo offers a very good value with a charming, clubby atmosphere.
