My first time going here last Sunday. It was good. I got a Double Cheeseburger with Sweet Potato Fries. Sooo good. I'll be back. I remember how much my girlfriend raved about Ankars Hoagies. How much she loved it. She was right.

You could always count on the great onion rings from Ankar's! However, they have changed their batter to have more cornmeal in it. They are not the same!! Please go back to the old batter!!! Your customers will thank you!

We've been celebrating family birthdays at Ankar's for actual decades. It's the go-to. Everyone had their order down pat and only the adventurous among us switch it up every couple of years. Some of the favorites are: the falafel rider, the roast beef rider, the cheese hoagie, the Greek salad, fried mushrooms, and onion rings.Vegetarian options: Several falafel sandwich options, cheese hoagie, and most sides are vegetarian. Also a decent salad selection.
They have the best steak sub on white bread in the ?? usa..excellent onion rings and fries..

Ankars is not exactly a Greek restaurant, but it has a lot of delicious Greek flavors mixed in among other delicious American lunch counter foods. They've been a Chattanooga staple for decades and once youve had a steak-in-sack you'll know why! And their Gyros are cut off the spit like they should be and stuffed full.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is one level with easy street to sidewalk access and double door entry.
