The restaurant was nice and the food was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. It wasn't the best, but far from the worst.

Our first time in. The meat was very smokie. Smoked chicken breast was juicy. Ribs were very tender. Our server Savannah offered excellent service.

Second rate dining straight across the board. You will find a much more enjoyable meal for the money if you just go to Walmart to the frozen food section and buy a nice Marie calendars microwave dinner, for much less than half the price of what you'll pay here for a meal. The only 2 items that made it to my that were okay were the corn bread muffin and the tea. So I feel like I just paid $15 for a corn bread muffin and some tea. This is the south, people. You should be utterly ashamed of serving hydrogenated "buttery spread" in the place of real butter! The menu offers "Cajun dirty rice" which I happen to like quite a lot. What this restaurant serves in the place of authentic Cajun dirty rice is white rice with what tastes like some of that canned Cajun spice thrown in in abundance. Totally missing from it are the essential Cajun ingredients of chicken livers, ground pork, celery, onion, and green peppers and the essential spices that make for righteous Cajun dirty rice. The "pulled chicken" was just above room temperature and had no flavor whatsoever. It was just kind a like a piece of boiled chicken pulled apart. The ribs had a layer on the outside that was as hard as a shingle. The brisket was unremarkable, The portion, small. The macaroni and cheese was not bad. I would give it one star, but the place was nice and clean. I am sitting here right now wondering why I paid for it, why I didn't just get up and walk out.

I've gone to Bones more than a handful of times with one of my friends who's been visiting since before they initially closed down. Between those visits, I've tried just about everything on the menu.My advice? Skip the BBQ and get a Pot Pie.On my first visit, I remember wanting to try it all and ordering the Combination Platter, which came with 3 choices of protein. I got the pulled pork, the brisket, and the ribs and I found almost everything to be just disappointingly dry. After we discovered the pot pie, that's all we've ever ordered since and have never been disappointed. Whenever a server seats us, before even divying put the menus, the response is "pot pies all around."The pot pie may sound simple but is absolutely incredible. Let me paint the picture for you. Your server arrives at your table and places in front of you a Pot Pie, steaming hot and baked to perfection. The plate is warm to the touch and you force yourself not to dig in immediately out of fear of burning yourself but gluttony takes over. As you dig in with your spoon, you find a rich creamy mix of vegetables and smoked chicken and at the very bottom, a layer of mashed potatoes.Hungry yet? Now look at the photos. Then go to Bones and order yourself a Chicken Pot Pie.

Great food! BBQ and meatloaf and chicken pot pie and pork tacos and smoked prime rib on some Friday nights. Beer choices are plentiful and the staff is always friendly. Best neighborhood feeling.

The original location for fried pickles in our area and still the best! Everything on the menu is more than worth trying. They have been excellent for a very long time at serving excellent food and a great value.

This place is an underrated BBQ joint. It's delicious, all sauces are great, meat is moist and flavorful, and there is a bar.My BBQ rule is; the bigger and flashier the signage and building, the more mediocre the food will be. So stay away from the chains like Smokey Bones, Famous Dave's, and drive a little further to Bones.

truthfully, we've never been in the restaurant. every time we are in town, my family brings home bags of this wonderful BBQ so we don't have to go back out. we always get pork and chicken and we each add whatever sauce we prefer. i like that they add black beans to their baked beans, and the coleslaw is pretty good. and i'm pretty picky about coleslaw. great food for catching up over.
