Now called Lemongrass, it was one of the most satisfying and delicious Thai dishes i've ever had! Such good lunch prices and such lovely people working there! Will definitely be going again! Go support this small business!!

This is no longer Cafe and Toast. It's Lemongrass Thai now. And it's not it! It did not taste fresh.... Consistency of the rice was off putting. I ordered the fresh basil rolls and they were far from it. I was really disappointed. Cafe and Toast was one of my favorites and I also LOVE Thai food. I hate I don't have better news.

What a find! This is one of our frequent stops. They make fresh and delicious Vietnamese/ Singaporean food. Everything we have had is wonderful. The owners are from Singapore ans make everything fresh daily. We usually go after our chiropractor for veggie only spring rolls and Singapore tea/coffee. I like my coffee strong and their son makes it perfectly. My husband loves the Viet sandwich and I love the pho. The service is always amazing! The prices are also affordable. Definitely recommend!

YES, STOP HERE! This was a very nice surprise for a food stop in the middle of a long road trip and My OH My! The food is so good, we are already planning to stop next time we are in the area. We had spring rolls, shanking beef and rice and meatballs/beef pho. Service was extremely fast and everything came out tasting spectacular and fresh. I will recommend 10/10.Vegetarian options: You will have to decide cause there are so many options.

This was the best food I've ever had. I went by today, and unfortunately they've closed. I'm heartbroken...? Everything on the menu(that I tried)was top notch...absolutely delicious. The owner was very nice and new be by name. I wish I had his phone number so I could ask him for the pho noodle recipe. Sir, if you read this, please open up shop again. This is Mike, I'm so completely sad that I can't have your fried noodles with chicken and extra broccoli again...I never had the chance to try everything. Lookout Valley will never be the same.

Don't even go try if you ask me. You will get fool by the pictures. Food are old and sauce tasted all the same with similar dishes. Overall this place is not even 25 percent authentic. Hope my comments help.

This places quality of food is 10/10. Very great Vietnamese place on the corner, hiding here in Chattanooga. Every plate I've had is flavorful and exceptional. Great service and place to stop at for a quick bite. ?

For the dishes I've tried it's not my favorite Asian place in Chattanooga. It's definitely different from other Vietnamese places I've tried, but I'm assuming it's just a different way or style from the other restaurants. The biggest difference was the shaking beef and the fresh rolls for me. I would probably try it one more time to see how the pork chops are because the pho was not bad according to my husband. Fresh rolls: had more of a beef jerky texture compare to the other fresh rolls I've had Shaking beef: definitely a different style. I'm used to my shaking beef being soy based with pepper and other veggies. As you can see from the pictures it was more soupy. It wasn't bad just that I prefer the smoky umami shaking beef.

we was waitin for 40min to the Pho! but the meat was old , smell, and taste rotten ! i tried to complain to the waitress and he said it's new and rare meat! i just told him that we are Vietnamese and we know how Pho taste. He didnt care and said he's Singapore, and told me not to shout out him and he came inside! NOT SORRY AT ALL! He is a waitress and he's not responsibility to listen or feedback from the customers! BAD FOOD,BAD SERVICE!!!!! not even worth 1 start

Fabulous Food: Fast, Fresh, Hot and Delicious. Very reasonable prices and wonderful owner and staff. The portions are also very generous. We especially love the Pad Thai, Garlic Chicken, and The Broccoli and chicken. We also love the fresh spring roles and juices. We make a point to stop whenever we are in the area. The food and service is always wonderful.

I ordered three fruit smoothies the older guy fixed the smoothies with great value vanilla cream for coffee I asked the guy did this movie have milk in it animal product he said no it does not have animal products I said can I see the container that you got it out of I assume that it was coffee vanilla syrup but it was not it was great value milk cream vanilla milk cream and I asked a guy for a refund that was $24 for three smoothies that only had one fruit in it. The guy would not give me a refund he gave me such a hard time so now I have to give him a one star I wish I could give him zero Stars and his menu does not say anything about adding animal product to a smoothie his advertisement shows delicious fruits and vegetables nothing about milk cream or vanilla and I asked the guy I said you have a tomato smoothie here do you add vanilla sweet cream to the tomato smoothie and he said yes. Do not go here if you want a animal free dairy-free smoothie he will take your money and force you to drink it he asked to swap it out without milk then I said how are you going to sleep in it and he was like I'm going to add sugar to it he would not give me a refund and we did not leave with the smoothies. We did not take these coffee creamer smoothies home it was false advertisement and he would not give me a refund so I had to call my bank and get them to decline the purchase and I had to take a picture to show proof that we did not take these smoothies home and he treated me like I was nothing like I was the slum of the Earth

We were traveling and decided to give this place a try since it had pretty good reviews on Yelp. When we arrived, we were the only table there. Server was nice. But the food really disappointed me. We are big fans of Vietnamese food and would always try to get some when we travel. But this place is definitely not worth the 4 star review. The fresh salad roll was too hard to chew, and the size was way smaller than some of the Yelp pictures. They did not soak the rice paper long enough. Phad Thai was weird, looked bland and tasted and. No ketchup taste like normal pad Thai would have, maybe is because they cooked it in a Singapore style. A little sour, couldn't really taste anything else besides that, not even salt. Anyways, would not recommend. Garlic chicken had absolutely no garlic taste. I asked the server for recommendations between the garlic chicken and red wine ribs, and he recommended the chicken. Seems like they stir fried the veggies and did not even bother to put the fried chicken into pan to mix the sauce, veggies and chicken together before serving. Instead, they simply put the chicken on top. As a result, there was no sauce drizzled on the chicken, so chicken was crispy but had no taste, which was weird because it looked like they seasoned it with black pepper and stuff, but I couldn't even taste the salt. The sauce was bland and sour, overpowered by the tomato. Didn't like it at all. Don't waste your money on this. The only thing that was okay was the beef pho. Beef was a little hard but the broth was decent. However, no side veggies like been sprouts, scallions, or jalapeños. Overall, I honestly think this place is overrated. Server, again, was nice but the food was really disappointing. Also, even for us who normally do low sodium, it still seems like whoever was cooking forgot to put salt.

There was no ventilation inside the restaurant. There was grease and smokes everywhere. The young 20-something year old guy (maybe the owner's son?) who usually brings the food out to the customers was touching his toes with the bare hands. He brought the food out after touching his toes without washing hands. He adds another layer of filth to this dirty restaurant. We didn't eat what he brought out, but we ate what his father brought us. The flavors were okay. The price is cheap (hence, 2 stars!).
