Hipster vibes/ not bad just not my scene. Self serve pour by the oz. Then you drop your card and they add 18% gratitude to the bill, reminder it’s self serve. They ask you about a tip on food, the only thing they bring you. 18% not bad but just adds to the tipping culture getting out of control.

We saw the great reviews and thought we would check this place out, actually going out of our way to stop on our way to Georgia. We were looking for some craft beers and food. The beer selection was decent; it is a self-serve beer and wine bar. You grab a glass and use the glass rinser. Two of three we tried didn’t work right. To order food you have to go to a kiosk at the back of the room. The online menus showed several appetizers and sliders, including chips and cheese dip, hot pimiento cheese, red pepper hummus, pork nachos, loaded fries and pretzel bites. There were also several burgers including sliders. When I went to order, there were only pretzel bites (beer cheese only, no mustard), chicken wings (not even on the online menu) French fries (plain) and 1 type of slider. We needed food with our beer so I ordered the pretzel bites. They came out quickly but there was an off-putting flavor of bad burnt oil. The bites on the top didn’t have as much oil on them, but the bottom had a lot. The beer cheese was the worst I’ve ever had, and the bites were not even pretzels. Tasted like Pillsbury crescent dough. I brought the order back to the bartender because she brought them to us and she was the only employee visible. I explained the problem and she took the plate and walked away. I just wanted a refund, but she didn’t even ask. Several minutes later she brought us another order of bites. This time they didn’t have the oil in the bottom of the cast iron pan like the first order. However the bad oil taste was still there as I’m sure they are cooking them in it.The best and only bright spot was the band playing. They were fantastic. Unfortunately I have no idea who they were. They played on March 23, 2024. They were excellent. The rest of the experience was not.

This is such a gem in Chattanooga! I love the variety and selection of beer - definitely well thought out selection of beer and types you won’t find anywhere else in the area. Great downtown historic vibe and atmosphere - the people are very helpful and help you understand the way the taproom works. Highly recommend for anyone in the area!

I only give food a 2* because their menu was severely cut short there was only a burger for an entree at the time. Loved their drink selections Over all I would go back I just hope they have their menu options figured

Fountainhead Taproom defied the weather and opened so our real estate group could meet, eat, and drink from the many beers lining their walls on this cold wintery ice-laden day. This business supported us a local community group. I hope you support them back as well. The food is tasty. Stop by and grab a drink sometime!

We arrived to a friendly host, welcoming us to the taproom. He walked us through the process of the pour your own taps. The selection of pouring your own was huge with great options all around! Food was incredible!Large portions! The games and atmosphere were great as well! Would recommend and would come back if we were not traveling from out of state! Great place!

Great food. Great beer. The cards wouldn't read very well but still a great experience. We also had a hot honey chicken sandwich with slaw on it. Super yummy.
Neat place and a very fun concept. Trivia on Thursday was fun, and the ability to sample lots of different drinks without paying for a whole (or even a half) pour is cool. That said, if you're going out for pints, it's likely not worth it because you pay a premium for the ability to pour by the ounce.

Obviously the highlight is the huge selection - from beer to cider to wine to cold brew coffee. I loved being able to try by the ounce so that I could sample some stuff I might not want a full pour of (The PB&J Mixtape from Xul).

Food was pretty good but drinks were extremely overpriced and the service was decent at best. Staff just seemed annoyed the whole
