Wow, this is definitely a must do!!! It's in an old historic home, restored and beautiful. You walk into a center hall with a coat rack full of hats just in case you want to put one on for your tea time. Many women had rheumatoid friends and our daughters with them. The tea and food were amazing and perfectly prepared. The scones were amazing with very tasty dipping sauce. We both tried a different tea, which were brought in 2 different tea pots. We will come again the next time we're in the area.

We had an exceptional experience! The venue was stunning. The food was delicious. The staff couldn't have been more kind and attentive. The first thing my daughter who accompanied me asked was, “when can we visit again?” We have already reserved another visit. It was perfect!
Who doesn't serve clotted cream with scones for high tea? We were served whipped cream instead. Scones were delicious and the accompanying lemon curd and strawberry jam were also. The aromatic tea and three tiers of yummy bites, sandwiches, and sweets made up for the missing clotted cream but could not overcome the service or lack thereof. The restaurant was not crowded but the single server seemed overwhelmed with his tables and our table for two often felt adrift in a sea of forgotten-ness. Although the table for two across the room appeared to be receiving the personal attention we were missing but they also appeared to be doing a lot of complaining. Besides the service, this place is well worth seeking out for the high tea experience! We hear the clotted cream will be returning next week!

My husband and I came here for our anniversary, and we had a really great time. The food was really good, and it was surprisingly filling. You could really taste the quality of the tea, and the Earl Grey was delicious. They were a little understaffed, but we still had really good service regardless.

My sisters and I came to Genesis House of Tea to celebrate birthdays! We had a wonderful time! Our waiter was very nice and the ambiance was amazing! I definitely recommend having a girls day here!
This was my first time visiting. My wife and I really enjoyed the whole thing. The tea was amazing (Winter Palace Marzipan Rooibos). The food and service were also excellent! We will definitely be coming back.

Chattanooga finally has a restaurant that offers the classic English Afternoon Tea served on the traditional three-tiered tray, along with a generous menu of other options. My wife ordered the Tea and proclaimed it excellent. I ordered à la carte and everything was delicious, and the servers were pleasant, helpful, and efficient. The choice of teas is extensive (I loved the Buckingham!) and everything was presented on Royal Albert china. Gentlemen, the elevated pinky finger is not required when sipping your brew! But trust me guys, your wife or girlfriend will love the experience and you'll get lots of points for having suggested this restaurant for lunch or dinner. As for ambiance, what better setting for Tea than the only surviving antebellum mansion in the Chattanooga area?!

Really great place to have tea but bring a sweater, it's rather drafty! The service is very good, and they are always so sweet to recommend their favorites! Menu changes with seasons so that's always a fun touch

Had a reservation- arrived on time but a server didn't come to our table for 15 minutes. There was a hair in my cup, and I asked to please get a new cup. Waited for 15 minutes, then asked another staff. Waited 30 minutes for tea, and after an hour without our food arriving, we left. I'm typically pretty easy but that was easily the worst dining experience I've had. I'm sorry to say that we won't be back.
A lovely place. My wife and the family had enjoyed Genesis Housev of Tea before and told of its charm. This was my first experience. I wondered if the food was going to be enough. Let me tell you it was and even more. The tomato bisque was a smaller cup, but the flavor was wonderful. The chicken salad was as good as I have ever had. Every dish was quality and enjoyable. Ladies, the secret is out. This place serves great food.

The entire experience was nothing short of amazing. From entering into the beautiful house and dining at a lovely table to speaking with our kind and attentive server/manager Yessi. The food was superb! The brunch plate is a must as well as the tier! The music was perfect and the whole lunch was perfect! This is a must in Chattanooga!!!

Food was fresh and served attractively. Yea was excellent and hot! Service was great. We waited a while for our food, but were compensated with complimentary cups of soup! Overall god experience!

Overall had a good experience. We ordered two double tiers and shrimp appetizers were left off of one of the tiers and we had to ask for plates. Our server was very good. A little pricey for finger sandwiches but overall atmosphere was great.
