I am one who doesn't leave reviews, but today just push me over the edge. So I ordered 2 ham hock plates with dressing and turnip greens on the side with cornbread!. After waiting almost a hour to even get my food in a hot box at that. So we checked our food and we didn't have our cornbread instead it was a roll. Now great courtesy would have been to ask us if we would like a roll instead because they sold out or something else in place! No that's not the case not only that Whoever fixing the dressing fixing it as if they would at home . Because everybody does not eat sugar or celery seeds in their dressing. This is the reason I stopped eating at Herman's because they falling off. To each its on maybe it was good to others but I want be back....

They make the best waffles I've ever had in my life. I don't even like sweets but I can't stop thinking about them. They were perfect in every single way; I can't explain it to you. The rest of the world needs to catch up with Herman's. I don't know what they do to them but, my god, I've been given new life. The rest of their food is amazing as well but I had to speak on those waffles. Y'all are doing something real right over there. Thank you.

Ordered online. Food was supposed to be ready by 2 p.m. Other customers were coming in placing orders and got their food before I did. I didn’t get my food until after 2:30 p.m. and I’m glad that I checked it there because all of my food was not in the bag. I don’t expect instant potatoes from a soul food restaurant. I can handle canned green beans as long as they are seasoned but this cornbread muffin is harder than a rock and the meatloaf is cold. Total disappointment and waste of time.

The food was amazing. We stopped while we were visiting, from Mobile Alabama. Neck bones did not disappoint, also turnips, and cabbage great. Husband ordered wings, mashed potatoes, fried okra. Loved it all. Only thing to improve it would have been some hot sauce for the greens!! I will visit again when I return to Chattanooga.
Soul food restaurant that is unpretentious but delivers. Food is consistently good; portions are large. Dine-in died during co-vid but needs to be brought back. Great soul food needs ambiance community and coversation to share it.

This past weekend, Hermans catered for my mom’s surprise 60th birthday. I am a former wedding planner in Nashville, and I must say that Hermans is one of the best caterers that I have ever worked with! The level of professionalism from the staff, and the excellent food was beyond my expectations. Mr. Herman and his staff went above and beyond to make sure my family and I were comfortable, and enjoyed every part of the event. I will most certainly continue to use Hermans for future events!

Every Wednesday is oxtails day. Yall need to run ??♀️ they do sell out. They are finger licking good ?. You get 2 sides with them, no matter what you get, you can’t go wrong. I got both sides of collard greens added onions and tomatoes ? with a side of boiled okra. Got some corn bread and a large sweet tea, baby when I tell you some good ole soul food. Just like granny Jesus, I got 2 plates lol ?. You can get your oxtail’s over rice, potatoes or by themselves yum yum yummy ?. If you never been to Herman’s on brainerd you are missing a treat. Sorry no pictures but this coming Wednesday I will make sure a post one for you. Soul food at its finest on any given day.
