I’ve been here numerous times before and had much better experiences than recently. My recent visit there was a cockroach that was flicked off the table. The chef didn’t put enough sauce or seasoning on the rice so it was bland. He didn’t let anything stay on the grill long enough to develop a char even the cabbage didn’t cook down. He got confused on the orders and we clarified and he ended up giving all my shrimp to another patron and just laughed about it. I literally could have cooked everyone there a better meal. The chef lacked basic skills. The uncleanliness was the deal breaker though. $70 for 2 people to eat in a dirty environment. I’ll stick with going to Wasabis in Knoxville.

Well this place is great the food is good I got to busy watching the cheef and the flames that I took my food home and I still have food for tomorrow.Super delicious.Kid-friendliness: I notice a lot of kids having good time and eating.I'm very surprice how much cultural food is been acepted with the new young generation.
We love this place! I've found that 1 particular waiter (male) will not put something on our bill, yet every woman will add on the mandatory gratuity. I ended up tipping them almost the same amount anyway because he's a great waiter! The food is great!

Normally, Ichiban is a great place to eat, but the last time and this time was not good. We had the same chef at both times and we, my husband and I, noticed that this certain chef didn't scrape the burner in between meats. He cooked chicken, beef, shrimp and scallops and all the juices ran together and cross contaminated everything. Needless to say, we were sick all night. I really hope management reads this and takes it seriously.

Everyone at 5pm should do the show and be in a better mood. I usually never do these but the manager even laughed at me when i told the guy do the show its why you pay to come here. This place has definitely went down hill big time. Why pay $100+ for a meal to be let down and degraded. Chef said i been here 14yrs I don't need to like WOW.
We go here often for birthdays and the food is always good and fresh. Depending on staff we have had good and just so so experience with wait staff and chef. The last visit was my son's birthday and I was a little disappointed they didn't recognize it even though I told them but in the past they have been very good about making them feel special so it could have been an off night.Kid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes

Food was top notch. Spicy tuna roll was so yum. Very salty, but yum. Hostesses were very nice. Loved the cook! Shrimp with fried rice was soo good, great ginger dressing flavor on the salad, and the soup was divine as well. ? Doesn’t open til the evening, so keep that in mind. Definitely a good restaurant to go to in the Hixson area with a fancier city feel. Really good.??

The sushi we got was very subpar. The crab tasted like cat food.The worst part was all the food seemed like it was sitting out for a few hours before we ordered it and was thrown together by teenagers in the back.The staff were nice and professional and that’s the two stars.

Server messed up 3 of our orders. When we call her out on it she showed us what she wrote down. That didn't prove she got the order right. When I spoke to manager she repeatedly stood up for server.
