If you want Italian food this is the place to go! I even did their catering and picked up the food for my daughter’s birthday party. Food was a hit in highly recommend if you don’t want to deal with cooking for an event.

My friend and I found this place by happy chance, just walking around. The place was packed but as there was only 2 of us they got us in right away. We were greeted warmly right away and were seated. Even though the place was busy we were given ample attention by every server that passed by. It's a quite fancy place and we were challenged reading through menu as they use the correct Italian names (I loved that btw but we are simple people over here) But with Yelp pictures we were able to make our choice. I decided on the Ricotta Cavatelli and I added chicken. It was so perfect! My friend got the salmon and said it was cooked perfectly. My favorite part was the seasonal vegetables that came in the dish, everything was cooked perfectly.

We had a lovely time at Primo. We were in town visiting my step daughter. There was quite a wait, but we went across the street for drinks, so it was no biggie. It's a very popular spot, and worth the wait! Three of had the specials. Two had chicken parm and I had the monk fish piccata. My fish was wonderful, thankful for the recommendation from my server (I don't remember his name, but he was awesome). He also recommend that I get the pasta side, but with more of the ver blanc sauce from the fish, instead of the marinara. He was so right! My group enjoyed the chicken parm & the spicy shrimp pasta dish. The bread/dipping oil and caesar salad were also top notch. For dessert we had the tiramisu and blueberry lemon cheesecake. Both were great.

I picked up take-out for a last minute family dinner. It was all scrumptiously delicious! We shared Veal Parm, Risotto with Scallops, Chicken Marsala, Meatballs, along with Lemon Pie and Tiramisu.I enjoyed a drink at the bar while I waited, met some nice people, and couldn't have been happier to see my favorite Tampa Bay Lightning playing on the bar tv.I look forward to going again to enjoy more of their menu!

Il Primo is always a great choice! It's one of our favorites for a high quality yet comfortable dinner. My kids love the penne with 4 cheese dish. One of my favorites is the chicken piccata. You can't go wrong with any of them, though! Highly recommend you make a reservation!Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly for a nice restaurant. Kids are welcome, and the restaurant has a noise volume where kids won't stand out. There is not a kids menu, I believe they can adapt things. My kids love the food!

Desert was just the icing on the cake for the food we ate! It was our first time going here and I would definitely recommend if you are looking for new places to try, the waiters? Amazing attitudes all the way around.

Don’t order online, it’ll never come. We put our order in and expected about 45 min-1hr wait for pickup. Arrived when the order was supposed to be ready and had to wait at the restaurant for over an HOUR just for them to end up giving us a refund. It took in total 2 hrs and 45 min to get our food. Waste of our time! Staff seemed pretty flippant about helping get our order to us too. I could’ve been chowing down on a Texas Roadhouse steak by now.

Dinner and cocktails were amazing. Our server was exceptional and extremely personable, shout out to David who is by far one of the most knowledgeable and welcoming servers I have ever had the pleasure to meet. The only reason the food was 4 stars to me was the desert. The tiramisu was sub par but I would not let that stop you from visiting this fine establishment. Overall great experience and would highly recommended. Entrees were superb as well as appetizers. I would not let my negative review of the desert stop you from visiting. Atmosphere was delightful and felt like a place I could stay and sit at for hours. Do take into account their popularity when visiting as our wait time for a party of four on a Saturday night at peak time was about an hour but for an establishment of caliber it was well worth the wait.Dietary restrictions: Extremely accommodating to food allergies/sensitivities.Parking: As they are extremely popular parking can be somewhat difficult. The area around the restaurant has plenty of street parking so when busy expect to walk just a bit:

Disappointed to say our experience doesn’t match the other great reviews. We’d been looking forward to trying this place for a while. The bread served with the baked feta is not tasty at all and the feta and sauce itself was pretty boring. The description says the red sauce is slightly spicy but there was zero spice, and just tasted like plain marinara. The shrimp in the fra diablo was cooked nicely but my god the pasta itself was gummy and terrible (and had the same “spicy” sauce as the feta ;).The butternut squash pasta was not great, and the butter sauce didn’t even taste/look like it was browned so you’re just eating these super sweet raviolis floating around in a ton of unseasoned melted butter (which honestly doesn’t sound bad but it wasn’t that enjoyable).Meh.
