This was the blandest Mexican food I've ever eaten. My wife and I both got the dinner special, which was a little bit of everything. Everything tasted the same. We could not tell the difference between the burrito and the enchilada. All of it was very under seasoned and disappointing. The Margaritas, chips and salsa were good, so we filled up on that. Our server was pleasant and attentive, and the atmosphere was your typical Mexican restaurant. No need for us to go back there.

A group of 5 coworkers went there for lunch on 03.21.2024. The waiter we had did tell us that he was new and that we understood, but this was a crazy experience for sure. The restaurant was not busy at all, so the wait was not the issue. The food was terrible. Two people ordered and their orders were completely wrong. One kept the order she was served, but the steak had a very bad taste. It was bland and looked to be a very cheap cut of beef. She ordered a Chimichanga and received fajitas. Totally wrong! The other lady received some type of steak and had ordered beef tacos in flour tortillas. She sent them back and then the replacement order was still wrong. The beef had a funny bland taste. Two of us ordered chicken dishes and both orders were correct, but had a weird taste and we did not finish them. The last lady ordered a shrimp taco salad. She came back to work and within 30 minutes was sick in the restroom. I have eaten at Freda's several times and never had a bad experience, until I recommended it to the group. I was so embarrassed and we spent a lot for this meal. I don't know if this was a fluke or a new chef, but when I say it was bad, it was. I have eaten at both locations and this was at Collierville . One of the other ladies had eaten at both locations as well and said the same, "Something must have changed here." I would not recommend this restaurant at all. The only thing they had going for them was the atmosphere.

The food is great. The atmosphere is terrible.They have switched to bright white lights in all of their fixtures which only serves to show just how dirty the restaurant is. It's odd that the restaurant is so dirty considering the overwhelming odor of cleaning solution that hits you as soon as you walk in.There is ZERO pleasant odor of food coming from the kitchen. It's straight, overwhelming, cleaning solution.If you can get past all of that, the food is great.

Today, I decided I wanted Mexican. I ordered the Frida’s Special Shrimp. It came back with a long piece of hair in it. I didn’t overreact or make a big deal. I politely told the bartender, he took the plate and put the order in again. The fact that they weren’t apologetic and charged me full price was beyond me!

I called in an order of nachos and when I got them and opened them (7 minutes later) they were so consumed with watery liquid that they were inedible. It wasn’t queso, it was completely watery. I called the store to try to work out a partial refund and the manager refused. I explained that I didn’t have enough time to drive back for a remake, but he still was unhelpful. Won’t be eating here again.

The best Mexican restaurant. I get a full meal and privacy here. The waiters are attentive to your needs for refills. The food is a hot temperature with market vegetables. I had some of my guy friends steak fajitas. The portion sizes are large. The location is a wonderful venue with leather interior,Mexican statues, and a bar in the back.Parking: The parking is located in the mall area. There is plenty of parking for individuals and groups.
This was a nice dining experience with a very helpful waiter. The waiter made great recommendations for what our tastes were this evening. We visited around 6pm CST on a cool 50 degree evening. Great Salsa with the gratis chips and dip.
Best Mexican food in the area. Margaritas were awesome too!

The food is absolutely phenomenal. We have been a few times now. I wanted to share our most recent experience.The server Kat, has diligently taken care of our table every time we have come. She checks on us frequently, refills our drinks, and makes sure we have refills on chips and napkins.This trip, I'd recently had surgery and was sensitive to lights and the music. Without asking she lowered both because she saw me clutching my head.The food came out quickly and hot! It was delicious.What really made our trip, was the fact that previously, we had asked management to please consider adding a changing table to the mens bathroom. And they DID. Not only that, but we ran out of wipes, and the manager got some wipes that his wife had left for their own kids and gave them to us to use.When I say the food, customer service, and atmosphere are top notch here I mean it.My literal only complaint would be that the trash cans in the bathroom always seems to be overflowing every trip. I wouldn't mind so much, but I feel terrible having to put a dirty diaper on the floor because the can is literally piled high with paper towels.We moved to Memphis and couldn't find a single decent Mexican spot. We are so glad we found Friday and Kat <3Oh and the bartender was also wonderful. She had a very busy night with a football game on and still took the time to help me out. I wanted to make sure we tipped at least the 20% and saw they had an automatic %10. She helped me make sure I did the math right so our server got the above and beyond tip she deserves. I wish we had cash cause I would have tipped her too! Next time I'll order a drink from the bar just so I can :)

May be they are all high schoolers or around that age so there’s more fun than timely service but all good.Food was on the saltier side for my taste and the vegetarian chimichanga tasted bland to me. Overall an acceptable restaurant but nothing extraordinary.
