I have been to this location twice and absolutely loved it both times! Jessica was my server both times and she is terrific. Friendly, helpful, and checks on you often enough to be attentive, but not so much that it's annoying. I was really pleased with her both times, and she gets 5 stars for service! Be sure to go for happy hour, before 6:00pm, when appetizers are $2 off and so are glasses of wine. The popcorn is a must. If none is brought to your table, ask for it! Both times I've had the cauliflower and it is exceptional. The portion is very generous, the breading crunchy, and the sauce not too sweet. Both times I have also ordered the catfish with the corn and okra succotash. I can't say enough about this dish. It is blackened with a crawfish cream on top, and presented beautifully over the succotash. The flavors are terrific and the okra is cooked perfectly, not too done so that it doesn't get slimy. I love the light colors and that the tables are not crowded. I ate the popcorn and shared the cauliflower with my friend and could barely eat any of the fish because I was already full. Jessica brought me a to-go container and I brought the fish home and the remaining cauliflower. The fish heated up beautifully for lunch, the cauliflower not so much. This is definitely not the fault of the restaurant though! The flavors were still terrific, it just didn't retain the crunch and that does not surprise me at all. I've had the duck fried rice at the downtown location and thought it just OK. Maybe I will try it here next time and see if it was just an off night when I had it previously. So many people rave about it that I'm willing to try it again.

The food was okay. Nothing really stood out besides the cocktails. It's more of a Bar food restaurant. Just my opinion, we tried the blacken catfish, he said it was okay but the sauce on top was pretty flavorful. The menu is pretty limited. I had the cheesesteak eggs rolls. They were pretty good. My favorite item from a previous visit is still the Burgers. They have some really good Burgers here. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Staff here was extremely friendly and made great recommendations. Thanks again Rahyn (if I spelled his name correctly) He's an awesome servicer. If I go back again it's definitely for Burgers and Cocktails!

Not every restaurant is for everybody and this was not for us. There isn't anything intrinsically wrong with it...it's just not our vibe. We enjoy places with more staff engagement. I would describe the decor as minimalist, It has both booths and tables, and a bar. The bartender seemed pretty indifferent about waiting on us and ignored us for about 10 minutes. Didn't bat an eye when we said we had never been there before and made no effort at making suggestions. They do not have draft beer and I would describe the menu as eclectic. We ordered a pasta dish and shawarma chicken bowl. I would describe the food as fine. The presentation was was nice. The prices were okay. All and all an okay experience. If someone asked us to meet them there, we would, but probably won't be going back as a choice. Honestly I would say the waitstaff experience puts me in the no column as much as anything. Decor-B Food-B Price-C Staff-C 3 stars because the food was okay.

The food was amazing! Great staff and excellent, fast service! While i was there I sat at the bar and I noticed a family of 5 sitting at the bar as well. The woman with them asked for the manager, complaining that one of the staff in the kitchen was eating from peoples plates. I had the same exact view, if not better of the kitchen and staff and not once did one of the staff eat anything from someone's plate. She then complained saying the manager took forever to get there and he came pretty fast. I noticed she typed a bad review on here about her experience at SOB. I overheard her tell her kids and husband that she was doing that so they could get their meals for free. She was also saying extremely rude things about the employee to the manager. I think it was uncalled for. She made comments about one of the employee's weight.

Took family of 5 out for dinner ...$180.00 to watch kitchen staff eat people's food over 1. 5 hours! Notified the manager who did not offer any course correction or dispute over employee's behavior....Super Gross conduct! Epic Fail!

I love SOB We always sit at the bar with Carlos. He is my favorite bartender in town. I'm new to the area and find myself at SOB once a week at least. The menu is extensive and has some really amazing items. Favorites include Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls as an appetizer and Duck Fried Rice. Entree favs are Zaka bowl with shrimp and the Buffalo chicken sandwich! Sit with Carlos at the bar and he will make you a fabulous cocktail or use his expertise on wine selection! I'll be back again and again You'll probably see me there!

It's just alright. I have gone there two times and I was more impressed with my meal the second time. It's a very casual spot, good for lunch. The fare is American with a multicultural twist. Service is decent. I am sure I will be back for a lunch meeting, I just expected something more. The salmon is pretty good.

We tried SOB in Collierville today and it was amazing! The service was great and our waiter Carlos was the best!! The food was really good, we had the Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, the chili cheese dip appetizers and a really good Sangria. If you like bread pudding they have a Jack 'N Coke Bread Pudding that is probably the best I have had! I will definitely be going back!

Nice place, casual atmosphere with elevated pub food. I ordered the fried chicken bao buns first, the steamed buns were mushy so that was a little disappointing. I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl for entree. The vegetables were tasty , the rice was solid, but the chicken was not really shawarma, it was shawarma "seasoned". Not bad, but I was hoping for the real deal (I'm guessing it said that on the menu but I missed it). Service was average so overall worth the visit, I'd go back to try some other items

Had a great experience first time but 2nd was a bust Aa Leah was our server and pretty much got everything wrong. We order chili cheese dip. She brought it out with about 1/2 a plate of chips the. When we finished them we couldn't get her to come back to replenish. The dip was cold by the time we got more. Then my salmon Caesar which I ordered blackened came out just grilled and way over done. It was awful. Like a kid cooked it. The salad had no dressing on it so asked for some. My husband nearly finished his meal before I got it. Not good. We even asked for more popcorn but never received it. Awful waitress and whomever was the chef tonight was terrible. I do not recommend now if they can't offer consistency.

Went to SOB last night for a birthday celebration. Great location! Ram was our server and he was friendly, knowledgeable, and fantastic! After we ordered the Philly egg rolls, we asked him what he suggested, and he recommended we add the general Tso's cauliflower to split. Great decision! We were fighting over the last pieces! Both appetizers were unique and flavorful! For dinner, several members of my group got the SOB burger and LOVED it. I tried a bite and have to admit that I was surprised at how tasty it was. I got the duck patty melt, and while it was great, I felt like it was missing a sauce or something. To be fair- it usually comes with mushrooms on it that I can't eat, so that might be the missing flavor it needed. Fries were hot and delicious! For dessert, we got a jack and coke bread pudding that hit the spot! Great place to go and grab some good food or a cocktail. It was a little loud when we first got there but did get quieter as the night went on. Be prepared for some noise around you.
