My wife (65) and I (66) walked in to this establishment for the first time. NOBODY else in the store. We told the lady it was our first time. We sat at the counter and asked a few questions about the place and wine. I told her we’d like to do a tasting. She asked for ID’s. I had mine as I was driving. My wife said she didn’t bring hers. The lady said something like “do you live far away. Can you go get it?” I asked her if she was serious that she would not serve her w/o her ID. She said that was correct. Now the cops and liquor board will love her for this but what a stupid business move. Two people 3 x 21 and first time customers. Not only did she not make any sale with us today she will never make a sale with us. If you want good wine, go to a liquor store anyways.

Day trip to Columbia TN. So many great antique shops and specialty stores. We were very excited to see Grinder's Switch had opened a wine bar in Columbia. If you have not had the pleasure of the wine at Grinder's Switch, you aficionados need to give it a try. Variety is great, something for everyone. Sherri was a great hostess we had a very nice visit with her! Don't forget they have two other locations if this one is not convenient for you! Salute!

Great winery and great storefront location in Columbia. The staff is super friendly and they have two different wine tasting flights (Dry & Sweet) so if you like wine and have not been you need to check it out!

I visited the Grinders Switch tasting room with my friend while in town over the weekend. It's cute inside, and they have a few outside tables, which is nice. We each ordered a full tasting of all their wines, which was only $15. It felt like a really good amount of wine! And I liked most of the wines we got to try. The bartender was so nice, and made the tasting a great experience by telling us about each wine. I'll definitely be back when in town!

Grinder's Switch Winery started in Centerville, TN, and decided to finally grace us with their presence in Columbia. I'm sure glad that they did. This evening, my wife and I went on a date and decided to stop by. We elected to experience the full flight tasting that included dry, semi-sweet, and sweet wines. Basically, it was almost the full menu of wines that they had to offer. We were not disappointed. Oyster crackers were offered to cleanse our pallets between tastings. When we reached the end of the flight, we decided on our collective favorite to enjoy together. We also ordered a board of loaded hummus and peta chips to ward off hunger pains (see attached photo). They have a small menu of food to enjoy while you enjoy your wine. You can get full here. Dinner can be had.**Spoiler Alert**The bonus wine (not on the menu) was what we chose to purchase a full bottle of. It was the General I, which is a sweet mucadine wine. This wine reminded me of our honeymoon. We experienced a similar wine from Sugarland Cellars, which is located in Gatlinburg, TN. My wife and I have been married for almost 11 years. This wine brought us back to square 1, and we fell in love all over again (with the wine and with each other).Another bonus for the evening was that we enjoyed live music while we enjoyed our wine. If you're up for a good wine tasting adventure, you should stop by Grinder's Switch and give it a try.

Omg this place is amazing. The girls and I sat down to do some tasting. Do you like sweet wine? I recommend the Cou Rouge they have it is absolutely delightful. We definitely will be returning for another girls day!

Abner the man behind the counter is absolutely marvelous, I look forward to seeing his smiling face and most helpful personality! Slushies are greatnot to mention Abner he makes the place fun!Atmosphere is very relaxing even have couch if you need to do some meditation "Wine-a-tation" LOL RELAX!!They carry a extended line of various wines. Stop in and spend a afternoon you won't be disappointed.
