The only place I could find in Cookeville with fish ceviche. The closest to authentic Mexican food I can find aside from the food trucks- decent variety as well.
So we have tried El Tapatio on Willow Ave and today just tried El Tapatio on Jefferson avenue. Both have sucked. The first one was delivered and second pick up. The food is running together. Never again from either of these. The meat is too chewy. Just not good food in my opinion.

This place is me & my husband favorite Mexican restaurant. We always get good service. Our favorite waiter is Alfredo he always has smile on his face. He always on top of filling our drinks and bringing fresh chips/salsa. Very friendly. Has our drinks and food down pat because we are there pretty regular. We really enjoy having Alfredo as waiter.

Food is great. But don’t both calling in a to go order from the Jefferson location. They rarely if ever answer the phone. Sometimes it’s easier with young kids to eat at home rather than dine in but can’t do that when phones are not answered. I know we can’t be the only ones with this problem.
