This place definitely is a Memphis kept secret. First time today and I got the lasagna dinner with Mac and cheese and greens. Everything was good. Nothing was store bought.Mrs. Yams came from the back and greeted us at our table and even warmed up my peach cobbler herself. Why this place not crowded like Chow town, we was the only customer here on a Sunday. Well this is my Sunday meal I’m driving from Tunica,Ms for this good food. Also a young man maybe 14 or 15 came out and asked did we need anything as well. Just an amazing experience. I will be back and spreading the word.Dietary restrictions: It’s more than enough parking not too far from the door my client had a walker and we walked from the car to the door that just how close it was. Spacious place. The neck ones my client got was well season but by looking at them you couldn’t tell which mean not too much but just enough for flavor.

The food is great! But when I tell you the portions are small whew! It’s ridiculous! The food is very over priced. I won’t be back for a kiddie plate! Orange Mound grill prices are reasonable, food is great and portions are plentiful… Take note! Then on top of all that I received a burnt cornbread ?

The food at best is average in Memphis with so many soul food options. Wait time and customer service is horrible. If you gone have terrible customer service with high food prices at least make sure the food compensates for it. Will not be back.

For some reason, the wait is always long. It doesn’t even matter whether or not the place is crowded. I was there for Mother’s Day and there were only a few people in the restaurant. It still seemed to take 30-45 min of standing in line waiting to give my order.I hate the setup. The way this restaurant works is cafeteria style but without the ready food. It make zero sense because after lining up and waiting to give your order and pay for your food, you now have to wait another 30 min for your food to be served. Madness!The first and second time I went there, because the food was so good, though my service was poor, I was okay because my food was delicious. That was NOT my experience on Mother’s Day. This time the smothered pork chops seemed to have been seasoned and cooked differently. The same with the vegetables. All were virtually tasteless this time. DISAPPOINTED!

I stood in line for 15 mins before placing my order. Then I placed my order at 1:14pm had a seat no one came to even greet me until 20 mins in then it was from another table he was cleaning…..I didn’t receive my food until 1:55.. when my food finally arrive my Mac& cheese wasn’t with it, also I had to ask for my beverage too. So I sat at a table without anything to drink for 46 mins with nothing to drink. Server/ bus boy kept walking by but said nothing. First time here and not sure if I’ll ever return . Oh and my baked chicken was not cooked same day, it tasted old the greens, mac&cheese, yams were good ??!
4/20/23: After waiting for an hour for our food that we paid for (you must pay before sitting in the dining area), we decided to leave. We were given a full refund. Thanks. We left feeling hungry and frustrated.We could have cooked an entire 7-course meal from scratch in an hour. Once again, in my attempt to support BOBs, I am left smh .

We waited one hour for our food (party of 2). The food was not so good just okkkk, I will not recommend nor return. Everything seem so dry… from the corn bread muffins to the dressing (that’s really stuffing?). Customer service was great though, and the facility was clean.

Waited two hours for two chicken & dressing egg rolls. Then the order was wrong and then I finally received my order and they were burnt. I have been three times and each time the wait was long, order was incorrect and the customer service sucks!!!! This was my absolute last time supporting this business!!!!!!

Great soul food restaurant. With a name like Bone and Yams, I expected the yams to be ?. I wasn't disappointed. My catfish was well seasoned and fried just right. Mac and cheese was okay....wasn't my favorite. Customer service was phenomenal! Great experience.
