Some of the best lamb I have ever had, also the spicy dumplings are fantastic, I have also had the duck which is also very good, I am currently getting all my work buddies to come here for lunch thru out the week, can’t go wrong here.

We started with the Spivey beef and tripe. 3 out of 4 of us really liked it. The fourth did not know what it was and was not a fan. We shared a variety of other dishes recommended by jour server. All excellent choices and well enjoyed by all. Highly recommended!

Delicious and authentic Sichuan food. Everything was so good. Even the milk tea was good. Can't wait to go back.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options are clearly labled

My opinion is that this is the worst Chinese food I have had in my life. Seriously, the spicy crispy chicken was overcooked and very dry and not a good taste to it. I will not recommend it to anyone

What an absolute gem. I have never written a Google review before but didn't hesitate to jump on here while the satisfying delicious burn of the spicy crispy chicken is still sizzling on my taste buds. The chicken, nailed it, the cumin beef, nailed it, the spicy dumplings, nailed it, even the wood ear mushrooms, you guessed it, nailed it. And the icing on top was the big thumbs up from my five year old who loved the Zaijang noodles and fried rice. We will be back next week, if we can wait that long.

Everytime I come to Memphis this is a must! Mapo tofu, fresh garlic vegetables, and the spicy dumplings!

Probably the most authentic chinese restaurant in Memphis along with Golden City, which happens to be in the same area. The food is great and most prices are decent. I only took a star because I participated in their Chinese New Year buffet and IT WAS NOT WORTH IT. The food tasted fine, but it was advertised as a celebration dinner and it was a glorified empty room with no decor, 1 attendant for several people and aluminum trays of lukewarm food. Not what I expected for nearly $50 a person. So, to make it short. Go to the restaurant, but don't go to their "special buffets."

Amazing food with fast service and a great atmosphere. Not an exaggeration to say I'll visit Memphis again for this restaurant (and for my brother, too, I guess). Get the boiled fish and the eggplant in garlic sauce if you can

They do the Sichuan classics extremely well, have excellent chefs, and also have very friendly servers and other staff. Overall it is an excellent establishment with a deep and diverse menu.

I come from California so I have very high standards for Asian restaurants. Petals of a Peony isn't the best I've tried in my life but it is pretty decent for the South and most important of all, authentic. For the Memphis area, this is a very good Sichuan restaurant. The ambience is a little old/outdated but the service was great and efficient. I think a more modern and updated inside/decor could really elevate this restaurant. My favorite dish was the roasted chicken and herb soup - it was very flavorful and decadent yet so healthy. The tang yuan were also amazing - very chewy with a sweet black sesame filling that melted in your mouth. The spicy fish was also delicious - the meat was tender and the flavors exploded in a dance upon my tongue. It was a bit too greasy for my taste but that is characteristic of a lot of Sichuan dishes! Overall a great place for authentic Chinese food!
