I absolutely love the screen door's food. I haven't had anything bad yet. The atmosphere is good, just poor seating if you're disabled but that doesn't detract from going there for me.

Our CMA chapter rode up from Chattanooga for lunch. We had 9 motorcycles and 2 cars, 19 people in total. Gabe did an excellent job of taking care of us. It was absolutely the best service experience I've had in years. The food was delicious and the atmosphere very relaxing. Highly recommend a visit to Screen Door Kitchen.

Veggie Bowl was a little salty for my taste, but otherwise delicious. Two in our party had the catfish, and it was fresh, crispy, and piping hot. The chicken parmesan is also very nice. Every side we had was beautifully prepared. We love going there! Best food in Dayton for sure!!

I’m giving this place a 4.5, I wanted to give 5 stars but just couldn’t do it.Soul Rolls - Amazing, I loved the mustard duck sauce they came with.Cubano Sandwich - Very good, but the fries were lacking. I don’t know if it was because we were one of the last customers of the day or what, but my son and I both mostly got like 1 inch long fries. I realize in the photos it looks like we got a bunch of long fries but underneath those they were all tiny. One positive is their homemade ranch dressing it was excellent.Classic burger - Asked to be cooked to medium well and what we got was very well done. It was a dry patty. The flavor wasn’t bad, but just over cooked. Also my son got a bunch of the baby fries.Crab Cakes - Good, but nothing to rave about. Remoulade that it came with was fantastic. Mashed taters were just your average mashed taters nothing special.General Tso’s Brussels - Very good, but over priced for how much you receive in our opinion. 4.50 for a small portion is steep.I loved the atmosphere of this place it really feels like you’re at home. The wait staff were great, very friendly, and attentive. Also they homemake hot sauce and it’s also very good. If I lived in Dayton I’d definitely comeback, I feel like maybe we just didn’t get the best this can offer.

So for this particular order it was Togo- so i voted 5 for service and atmosphere by default because i had zero issues and good conversation. This is my second time eating the food here. My parents live locally and i live in Alabama so this is a refreshing change of pace from a lot of the local food- no shots at anyone else but there is a really cool culinary twist taking place here with an Italian southern twist that i enjoy. We ordered 2 x chicken parm, Korean fried chicken sandwich, PB pie slice, and slice of carrot cake. Just like the first time everything was amazing, snd that’s considering we drove 25 mins from pickup to the house and all 3 chicken entrees were still crispy and delicious! Thanks for what you are doing here and for chatting it up with your customers! Your food is delicious and i look forward to my next trip to Tennessee so we can check out your Sunday brunch!!
