To be fair, they had to be understaffed. The wait staff was so hurried and forgetful that it made dining pretty awful. The food was cold and it was nothing exceptional... actually not very good. It could have just been a bad day. But, as they say... you only have one chance to make a first impression!

The most delightful experience - waitress was so sweet, the food was delicious and here are a few things that stood out; first they bring these delicious morsels of...? (yes we were confused because we had never tasted what turned out to be cornbread and a Hawaiian Roll baked with a brown butter topping before... OMG DELICIOUS!!! Secondly. I got a delicious Salad but it didn't come with croutons and I love croutons. When they said no they didn't have them, I didn't think much about but the waitress soon returned to tell me the chef/cook was making me handmade croutons. This made for amazing experience!!!

Was very good. We'll go there again.

We love the Front Porch! It reminds me of a tea house. They have a delicious flavored tea, chicken casserole, salads that are sooo delicious and even some grain bowls that were so delightfully yummy. Though they are sometimes short staffed (thanks covid, blah), we have always received our food in a timely manner. My favorite thing are their honey rolls. They bring these out before the meal (no charge) and they are so soft and delicious, almost like a dessert but still light. They have a honey like outer crust and delicate inner bread taste. Yum yum yum!!! You won't be disappointed. I've only had good experiences here and we've been going for about half a year now.

Did not match the posted reviews imo. Food was ok but not great. Had the blue plate special and maybe I was there on the wrong day. Cherry cobler was too sweet for my taste and coffee not strong or hot enough. Staff was very friendly. Town is a great place to check out.

The food was a bit bland and cold. It wasn't all bad, the Salisbury steak was ok. Great atmosphere.

The Front Porch is getting a 4, but with reservations. I went with friends and we all liked our meals. I got a veggie plate. The food was hot and good. My friends got the beef stew and we're also impressed. The last person in the group got a panni and like it too. Deserts yummy. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Why the hesitation? The bathroom was dusty. The baseboards and other surfaces. It wasn't dirty as such, but dusty. If the service and food hadn't been so good I would have given it a 3.

My family went to The Front Porch for lunch. I made reservations a few days prior with a very friendly staff member. We arrived and we were seated very promptly. The server was very nice and friendly. She kept our drinks refilled and checked on us several times. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy on the porch. Dickson has a quaint downtown area worth a visit.

Squash casserole was overloaded with garlic, bacon ranch pasta was spoiled, tea was hot and not very sweet, cake was dry. Never again

Will not go again. Ordered sweet tea, bacon ranch pasta, squash casserole and mashed potatoes. The sweet tea must have just been made because even with ice it was still hot with no flavor. The bacon ranch pasta was spoiled but didn't know until the first bite. When I took a smell I knew for sure it wasn't for consumption. I think someone must have tumped over the garlic seasoning and it landed in the squash casserole which made it not edible. Ross from Friends would have loved the mashed potatoes but Monica would have been appalled at the lumps. I was excited to at least get the peach cobbler for dessert because I didn't think you could possibly mess that up. Wrong! So I had to have something on my tummy so ended up at Sonic with ice cream.
