This was like eating in my Granny's kitchen. From the quality of food and portion size to the friendliness of the staff. It was such a pleasant dining experience. We will definitely stop in again the next time we are in Elizabethton.

First off, this is a little Mom and Pop greasy spoon restaurant... And that is both a very good thing, and a not so good thing...It was a little bit grungy, maybe not as clean as you would like... But that is something that you get from these kind of places... And that's kind of part of the ambiance of places like thisWe went for the fried Catfish... My wife and Father in law LOVED it... I tried it and it was probably the best fried Catfish I have ever had... It was THAT good.That being said, I had ordered the grilled chicken breast, and the cook messed up my order. Everyone else had finished their food by the time I got my order.. BUT, again, the food was excellent..Another drawback, the cook was the only one who could run the register, so we had to wait to pay for our meals.Overall, almost exactly what you could expect from a place like this... Wonderful food... But with a few drawbacks otherwise.
