Elizabethton needs this place. I was going through one of the hardest times in my life two years ago but always found comfort coming here. Just returned from overseas a few weeks ago and this was the first place I wanted to take my mom when coming to visit. I couldn't believe my eyes that it was closed. I just want to say thank you from my heart to the owner, staff and anyone else involved in serving or putting.up with the public. Please consider reopening at some point. You never know what people were going through walking through those doors. God bless all of you in Jesus name.

I have grown up eating here with my grandparents. Food is good, prices are reasonable and they have many choices for you to choose from. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Enjoyed eating here. The line was not long to get in and the staff was friendly. Food was plentiful. And there is an electric car charger in walking distance.

Walked in told us to take a seat any where. We sat down and it was 10 minutes before we was waited on, and that was only I because I turned around and yelled are we going to waited on anytime today. They were all huddled up together talking. The waitress finally came and got our order of drinks. When we finally put our food order in, the waitress came out 10 minutes later and told us they were out of pinto beans, my husband didn't want anything else and they didn't offer to take anything off our bill. Worse experience I have had there will not be going back.

We went during a busy time. I was so happy to see them so busy. A great place to get great southern food for a great price! Parking is limited, you can park across the street and easily to the restaurant.Parking: Across the street

This place is adorable, great atmosphere, friendly employees but after waiting 45 minutes for our lunch, we were very disappointed. Our meals had no taste and for a ‘Southern’ restaurant, the food should be full of flavor. I did not want to write a negative review because there is so much potential here but we will not be visiting again. ?

Incredible! Great place to hang with the locals for breakfast, but also very underrated for dinner. The Pimento Cheeseburger is to die for!

We hit at a busy time, so it took a solid hour to get our food. Luckily, the coffee was very good. Pancakes were tough, grits were cold and lumpy, french toast was dry in the middle. Eggs were fine. I'll try somewhere else next time.

I've heard everybody talk about how good the hamburgers are from The Southern, so my husband and I decided to try them. He ordered the hamburger and fries and I ordered the cheeseburger and fries and we also ordered a side of onion rings. When he got home with the food, we discovered that all three of the styrofoam containers were melted and had holes in them, meaning the food had melted styrofoam on it. The hand cut fries looked like they had been dipped into the fryer and got saturated with grease, which was dripping off of them, but they were not cooked, we had to put them in a pan and put them in the oven and cook them before we could eat them. The burgers had no taste except for the burnt taste from the buns that were black on the inside. The onion rings, however, were the best part of the meal and were quite tasty. All in all, our experience with the restaurant was not a good one and we will probably not place any orders in the future.

My sister and I went in for lunch today. The waitress came and took our order, went to the opposite side, pulled up a chair, set down and took an order from two gentlemen. She finally placed an order. She proceeded to stand behind the counter eating. The order came out to the two gentlemen. We sat there for over 40 minutes and never got our food. We walked out. I will never go back there. First time in my life that has happened to me. The worst service ever!
