HOW does this place have such good reviews? The people are super nice - extremely friendly and service is good. But the food is just awful. The sandwiches have way too much stuff on them, the menu is super odd. I've tried this place 3 times and never had a meal that I could even half way finish because it was so sweet, over sauced or just tasted bizarre. I do not understand the reviews. Just do normal sandwiches and a variety of soups ... I don't understand why that is so hard in middle TN.

This is a lunch favorite restaurant for me, my husband, and friends .... Food is always fresh and delicious... Service is fantastic... Would have gotten a 5 star, but the atmosphere is not great... It's a small place that stays very busy, so it's too crowded at times... It's a claustrophobic feeling while you eat sometimes bc you're in such close proximity to others... Brown Bag is so popular, it would be nice if they would move to a more spacious location... Parking and where to sit are sometimes an issue... So, lots of people call in to go orders and eat their menu selections elsewhere.

The portions were substantial for lunch. My husband got the fish tacos with two sides and I got the grilled chicken with two sides. It was a nice break from chain restaurants and over-priced signature lunch establishments in the area. It was also affordable considering how expensive it can be to eat in Franklin.
