If you want a night out with good food and drink then this is your place. A menu that will not consume you to try and figure out what to try. Our waiter Jay was on top of the menu and service. Great recommendation as to what special to try and the beef cheek was excellent along with a traditional menu favorite of shrimp & grits.

Dining at red pony was part of a special date night for my husband and I. It met all of our expectations. The food was tremendous. Some of the most delicious food we've had in a long time. The sauces and the technique the chef uses to prepare the meals is top-notch. Our server was well trained and fun and appropriately friendly. He anticipated our every need which made our evening feel even more special. The shrimp and grits were incredibly tasty as well as the ribeye steak. We tried the popcorn cheesecake just for the fun of it and were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The drinks from the bar were really delicious to top it off. The decor the restaurant was minimally, rustic, and made for a great intimate environment. Whoever is in charge of decorating this restaurant did a very good job.

We love this place and their food. But the big table was full of loud drinks (again). So next time we will go upstairs. Really great gnocci starter and wines. Good salad. Fabulous salmon-trout fish and vegs. The Meyer Lemon Pot de creme and French pressed coffee were divine.

We enjoyed dinner in the new addition which is where the deck previously was located. It was perfect. This has been one of our favorite go to places for dinner and glad they're back after the fire.

Great overall experience from the excellent and knowledgeable service team to the amazing food. Warm and cozy ambiance and very moderate noise level makes for an enjoyable evening.

Absolutely wonderful meal! Steelhead Trout and ribeye and kale salad outstanding, creatively presented, with great flavors and generous portions. Wonderful, cozy atmosphere, and great and attentive service. The best of all was the Meyer Lemon Pot de crème. We will definitely be returning!

If you're looking for a dining experience that exceeds expectations, The Red Pony Restaurant is an absolute must-visit. From the moment we checked in for our reservation, we were made to feel truly special. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our evening was memorable. We were seated at a beautifully intimate table on the second floor, near a window overlooking the charming street below. Our server, Sabrina, was a delight, enhancing our experience with her attentive and personable service. But the real magic began with the culinary offerings. Sabrina surprised us with an off-menu appetizer, the lemon and black truffle gnocchi, which instantly became the highlight of our meal. My wife and I couldn't stop raving about how it was the best gnocchi we've ever tasted. Apparently they mix grits into the gnocchi dough, and it makes the finish of the gnocchi, not doughy, but light and puffy. The shrimp and grits were a revelation, served in a unique and delightful style that felt more flavorful and less heavy than any other way I've experienced this dish prepared. And let's not forget the grilled skewer appetizer, which could have easily been a meal in itself due to its exceptional flavor and quality. Every aspect of our evening at The Red Pony surpassed our expectations. From the warm welcome to the exquisite cuisine, it was an experience we'll cherish for a long time to come. If you're in Franklin, Tennessee, do yourself a favor and make a reservation at The Red Pony. You won't be disappointed.

Wonderful staff and superb recommendations. For a first dining experience, we were treated to the favorites and some additional treats. The Popcorn Cheesecake was so light and refreshing and tasty!

The ‘blow out of the water' experience that the Red Pony promises on their website did not happen. Good food; not great. Good service; not great. Pricey for ‘good food'. (We eat out often and have eaten at some amazing places).

Once again, our meal was outstanding beginning with Heather as our server. Heather was attentive, friendly and truly a most fantastic server. The smoked brisket flatbread was something my wife and I will dream of. It was incredible. The kale salad (we spilt the order) made kale taste like the best salad you ever ate and that isn't easy to do with kale. The pork chop was flavorful and memorable. Red Pony is our favorite restaurant in Franklin.

Very good, but not as first-rate as our previous visits. Limited menu well executed, but still could be more varied. The bread course was uninspired. Would recommend, but suggest that diners review the changing daily menu carefully before making reservations.

Our first time going to Red Pony Restaurant, you must go! Our waiter, John, was attentive and gave great advice when asked. Their gnocchi, not on their menu, but you must ask for it! It melts in your mouth, the best I have ever had. Shrimp and grits were full of delicious flavor; bacon, scallions, mushrooms, garlic and cheese. What's not to like! You must get the bread service, use the bread for dipping in that gnocchi cream sauce and those shrimp and grits! My husband got the coffee rubbed pork porterhouse, I didn't try any but it looked excellent! The main level had a nice bar, but was a little louder. We dined upstairs, which was just perfect! A great evening, we'll go again!

I want to like this restaurant, but they have weird food. The charcuterie plate was sub par. Only one cheese and that was spreadable. No slices of cheese. Sausage on the plate tasted awful. Just not much there for $25. The filet was a good piece of meat, but had a sauce that tasted like mustard. Not savory at all which is what I think of on a steak. The mashed potatoes had too much blue cheese in them. Overpowering. The sister restaurant , Cork & Cow is much better for steak. Probably won't be back to Red Pony anytime soon.

Absolutely fantastic! The nice paced meal allowed us to fully enjoy each course and our conversation with our friends without having to rush through each dish. The service was great and all four of our meals along with starters and sides were pretty phenomenal! Definitely a wonderful choice and would highly recommend especially for special occasions as it is also not a cheap date!

Rocky was very aware of our timing to make it to a show across the street, brought us a delicious gnocchi for being first timers and all the plates were delicious. Definitely recommend.
