McGavocks is our new go to place every time we visit downtown Franklin. From the atmosphere, outstanding food and service and the amazing hospitality, we will never miss stopping by even for only a cup of coffee or a mimosa. Thank you Shannon and Terry for making our visit so special.

We really enjoyed the Christmas themed space last night. Seating is limited due to it being a coffee shop and this should be expected. The “world’s best cup of coffee” was phenomenal! They did have the best whipped cream we have ever had ! SO GOOD! The kids enjoyed hot chocolate and whipped cream as well! Such a cute little place! Bring your babies they are welcome from 6-9!Parking: Free parking in garage— but all parking is tricky in Franklin!Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome from 6-9

During Christmas time, this little Coffee Bar turns into “The Worlds Best Cup of Coffee” pop up bar, reminiscent of the movie ‘Elf’. It was easy to find in downtown Franklin. Very small, and decorated adorable for Christmas. The line was long. You order your cocktail at the counter, and find a place to sit. We tried to order food, but they mixed up our order, and we never got it. We had to get a refund per the manager. While waiting for the food that never came, we had cute holiday drinks. They had a good menu of alcohol and non alcoholic drinks for the holiday. The hotel has valet parking in front for $10. If you get it validated in the main bar area it is $5. The lounge and main bar area is at the front when you walk in. They had a musician playing guitar, but it was not holiday music. The Worlds Best Cup of Coffee was around the corner to the right. Lastly, a little niche inside was decorated with the grinch and a Santa sleigh for photo ops. Very cute.

No way of reviewing their products. The woman attending didn't even take the time or courtesy to look a customer in the eye to tell them they are only serving a limited menuDidn't even had a chance to ask before she almost snatched the menu out of my handA coffee shop that doesn't serves coffee (latte) after a certain time? That's Franklin these days by elitists for elitists

Awesome coffee shop and breakfast spot in the boutique Harpeth hotel. It's pricey. The croissants are really good and the breakfast is

Loved the hearty breakfast! Just one suggestion: HOLD bringing the quiche to the table UNTIL all other breakfast items ordered are delivered from the main kitchen. We sat at the table with the quiche for 15+ minutes, waiting on bacon, eggs, etc., from the kitchen. Other than that logistical/delivery issue, everything was great! :-)

Full disclosure - we literally just stopped in to get some coffee so I have no feedback on food or dine in experience. However I found the counter experience to be very good. Order was taken and clarified by our barista, and prepared just like we asked. The fun part was that during the holidays, this is decorated full out! Many ELF references and just being there spreads cheer! Prices are in line with Franklin businesses. A very fun stop if you're downtown or want to meet a friend for some Holiday catching up.

During my recent visit to McGavocks I had an amazing experience. I came around lunch time for a late breakfast. I was having trouble deciding what to get and had a wonderful conversation with the young lady named Jenna working the register. She gave me detailed insight into how the potato were made and knew about all the menu items I was struggling between. It was oddly slow for lunch time and we had a pleasant conversation and I loved the beautiful artwork all over the restaurant and she told me she was an artist and had done all the art in the store including the beautiful flowers on the wall, the menu and the little chalkboard sign just to name a few. The overall aesthetic was so nice and her artwork really fit the vibe of the restaurant in my opinion. If you haven't seen it yet, it's worth checking out.
