That place is not a diner any more. The burgers were super thin and the atmosphere of being welcomed when you come in is nowhere to be seen or felt. All they need is a cook robot and this place could be fully automated. FIVE GUYS IS BETTER.

Not their fault: service is very slow.It's slow because they actually make your food when you order!Fantastic milkshakes and well made orders.It is worth the wait.Kid-friendliness: It's "fast food" without the sloppiness of fast. Expect to wait to get your order.It is absolutely worth the wait.

Steak and Shake are consistently good. A couple of gripes would be that if you place an online order be sure to let someone in the store know. I used to love their garlic burger but something changed for the worse a good while ago. The flavor just isn’t the same. It’s not bad, it’s just not as good as it used to be. Also, the fries can get pretty short. Dipping inch long fries isn’t very good and I wind up using a fork on them. These are pretty minor points and Steak and Shake is very good. I don’t like to have to place my order on a touch screen inside the store. It is a well thought out system though.

Went with my daughter while we were in town. The burgers were so awesome that we got 2 to go. Shakes are delicious. Fries are okay. I didn't care for the chili, but my husband loved it. We brought home him food as well. Even cold, burgers are wonderful!

You have to order from the kiosk. There is not a place at the counter to get assistance. No way to add onions.

Drive thru order. Cheeseburger and fries were very good. Milk shake was delicious. Food was not like regular fast food . It was better quality. The drive thru line was amazingly quick. I had everything in the back without having to ask for condiments and napkins. Love the large straws for the milkshake. Great value. Spent less than $10 for lunch, drink and milkshake.
