My daughter and I ate here for dinner, and it was great. I had tortellini, and it was very good. My daughter had the carbonara and she raved about it. We also did some cheese bread. It was simple, but it was done right. Sometimes the simple things are the hardest. I felt the marinara was a great balance of flavors, with a slight touch of sweetness to cut the acidity of the tomatoes. We also loved the singer. He was great, but not too loud, which is a complaint I often have of singers in a smaller space. We would eat here again.

Dissonant Vibrations

Came in for the canolli, they did not have any so instead of leaving with nothing I decided to get something to try out the place and not leave empty handed. Ordered the tomato bruschetta for $12 coming out to over $13 after taxes. Upon receiving the take out bag of food I noticed it was very light and almost weightless. Once I got to my car I saw the $13+ food item consisted of nothing but some sun dried tomato with garlic sauce/paste as well as 4 small pieces of bread. I would have taken a picture but I was so hungry that I just ate the junk instead of returning it. The portion size was an absolute insult, and the taste was bland as well as missing the cheese that the menu stated it would have. Went back and gave them back their empty box of disappointing food at their doorstep. $13 for 4 slices of bread. 1 star out of 5. Never coming back, I'm a NYer of 30 years this place is a joke, go to pizza perfect or Marcos instead.

It’s good for a simple Italian dinner that doesn’t cost too much.

Amazing staff, lovely ambiance and great food! The fried spinach (kale?) appetizer was a wonderful surprise! So very good! Also, the live music was delightful and at a perfect volume. Will be back next time I'm in the area.

The Double Tomato Bruschetta was fabulous. We shared a Ceasar Salad and it needed more snap. My wife had pasta with red sauce, the sauce was bland. I had the Three Cheese Tortellini with Asiago Cream Sauce. It was very good.

We ate here for dinner and ordered salads and chicken Marsala. We were very disappointed with the chicken Marsala. It was very very sweet, had very little mushrooms and tasted as if they had poured sugar on top of noodles. The lady greeting customers was less than welcoming. Additionally, she cleaned the table right next to us with Windex, several sprays drifting over to our table leaving us feeling like we were eating our salads with a side of windex. For the price, and being half Italian myself, I would have hoped and expected more from an Italian restaurant.

My husband and I have a pact to visit one new restaurant a month for 2024. Zolo's is our second date. We were immediately greeted with a warm welcome and pulled in to the typical Italian restaurant feel with its red checkered tablecloths and red glass candles. My husband ordered the crab ravioli and I had the spicy tortellini Diablo. He said his was good. Mine was good too. I enjoyed the mix of chicken, Italian sausage, and pancetta with a rock cream sauce. In the end, would we come again? Absolutely. Will we recommend it to others? One hundred percent.

If you are having questions on what to get here.. everything is wonderful but the chicken Marsalis is awesome. Can't say enough good things about it. But please make reservations so you can taste this wonderful food. Area is small but prefect for a romantic dinner or small gathering.

Small lovely restaurant with a variety of menu options and professional staff, especially server Tiffi. The small, intimate setting can make for a noisy evening, although the staff, food, wine is worth it!

We ordered two different specials - both were delicious. The salads we also very good. It was our second time at Zolos. WE look forward to going back. It's also very convenient (walking distance) to most of downtown Franklin,

Very nice outing before a show at Franklin Theatre. Zolo's has an old school Italian restaurant look and feel in historic downtown Franklin. Food was excellent, service was great. A musician playing classic standards and favorites added to the ambiance. Highly recommended.

We had the best evening at Zolo's. Caleb was our server and took excellent care of us. He helped me make a tough decision between two amazing options, the shrimp piccata, or the shrimp and scallop carbonara. I chose the carbonara, and it was delicious, but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna try the piccata next time we go back. Rick Armentrout was playing, live music, and you can request certain songs off his list. He brought such a great vibe to the restaurant. This is definitely a number one choice for a private date night or an evening out with friends.
