AWESOMEEEEEEE!!! This might just be our new go-to BBQ spot. Definitely recommend the pulled pork. The ribs look good but they were out. The brisket was missing its pink but was still tasty. We'll probably pass on the brisket on future visits. The burgers are excellent, the fries, baked beans, and slaw are delicious, and the portions are enormous. Best hoecakes I've ever had. The service is great, the place is perfect size, there's plenty of parking, and the bar is full.

The food I ordered was delicious. The brisket was tender and I tried the twice fried potatoes, and I highly recomend it! We ordered the fried pecan pie and they told us they didn't have ice cream. I guess to make up for it, they covered the piece with chocolate sauce. I don't eat chocolate, so make sure you ask beforehand if you do not want that on it. The menu only mentioned ice cream. It was a great atmosphere and decent menu options(except for dessert). We didn't bring our kids, but it is definitely family friendly restaraunt. We would go back again.

Three years ago we ate here and loved it, this time?Not so much...It's not often I don't finish my meal at a restaurant.However, that was the case this evening for dinner at Chubb's.Ribs, potato salad and green beans for me, brisket, French fries and Cole slaw for my wife.The ribs were extraordinarily disappointing.Tough, room temperature, and SMOTHERED with a barbecue sauce that was the kind of sweet that makes your throat tickle.I actually had to ask for a knife, they were that tough. Southern pit barbecue isn't supposed to need a knife. ??♂️Mustard style potato salad is another Southern staple, one I've been eating my entire life.It was somehow sweet, and yet, devoid of flavor.The fried cornbread was soggy, and not even warm enough to melt the room temperature butter that came with it.The green beans were fine. I had those for dinner and declined a to go box for the rest. Blegh.The server was nice.Overall, pretty disappointing.We'll not be back.

Well... definitely understaffed. Not much to chose from on the menu seeing as how they're out of most things, including paper to write on lol. Beer was cool, suggest storing the cups in a freezer though to chill the glass. Food had lost some heat before it got to the table but I blame that on the fact that there were only 2 attendants. A lot of potential. This would probably be a great bar, but not a great place to take a family for dinner.

I ordered the $20 brisket and got maybe 2oz of room temp meat that tasted like salty snot with a big corn pancake. I'm not exaggerating when I say the meat tasted like it came from a can.Other menu items looked mediocre, but the brisket was beyond disappointing. Save your money.Update: As you can see below they asked me to email them. I did, it's been two business days. Haven't heard anything back. I stand by my original review.

I was out there for a visit from the Bay Area enjoying the down home hospitality, and my buddy said that we need to go to Chubb's. So we did, and... I could not believe just how AWESOME the food was! As I was enjoying the extremely euphoric experience while eating Chubb's food, all I remember is that the gentleman next to me said "Welcome to Mama's Kitchen". And boy was he right! And sorry Mama, I love you to the ends of the earth and would gladly take 10,000 bullets for you, but Chubb's Brisket... Well, I better stop right there. I Love You Mom! :-)

Came at 7pm on a sunday. Nearly dead. It took a little bit for the waitress to get our drink order and even longer to order food. My appetizer was the pretzels and beer cheese and mustard. Got 2 almost burnt pretzels, no mustard, and what was supposed to be cheese was more cheese water with hunks of tomato in it(pictured below). Believe me I ate them I was hungry after the wait but i wouldnt order it again. My husband had the brisket with fries and potato salad and had no complaints. It was in fact a good brisket. I had the pork burger and twice fried potatoes. The burger was awesome. The potatoes however were like boiled potatoes with cold shredded cheese on top. No salt or pepper. No flavor. I ate my husbands fries.
I am a wing fanantic and ”wing king” The wings have a nice smoke flavor from real smoke and then fried to crisp. None of that buffalo wild wings wet and un crisp wings. These are some of the best wings I have ever had. Mango jalapeño sauce with that smoke is awesome (need some Alabama white sauce). We have been three times and food never disappoints. Service is always a little lack luster and little more of a bar atmosphere(we all know that lazy bar maid…. they dont make good servers and a reason behind a bar). Good food outweighs the bad service(I sort of expect bad service).Update- had a good experience food and service on 1/12/2022. McKenzie the bartender did just fine. Food was great again.

I've only been 1x but everybody in my group of 6 really enjoyed the food. I got a burger and was hoping to have it wrapped in lettuce ,but they dont have ice berg so it came with a side of mixed greens. Which was still good, but would rather have it wrapped. Margaritas are great too!
