Very disappointed with the steak. After years if coming here this time the steak was more fat than meat. Server went into line that steaks were hand selected. This never would have gotten out of the kitchen when the owners were on site. Just disappointed.

Wonderful place to stop for dinner in Gatlinburg. Lots of options for whole group and nice sit down place. Waiters were very nice and all the food tasted great (had pull pork, pork chop, and patty melt). Definitely would stop again.

Great steaks! Excellent service, kept our drinks filled and checked on us regularly. We sat upstairs and it allowed us to enjoy our conversation, the great music from our favorite decade (80's) and not be overwhelmed by a large crowded room.

Really nice spot! Employees are super friendly, we got lucky enough to eat here! We were here with our dog, trying to find something to eat, and the manager Danny was kind enough to accommodate us and letting us eat inside due to their patio being under construction. How kind is that? Jenny was our server and was very helpful throughout our dining process. Definitely appreciate the hospitality Specially, not being from the area.

Why is this place being slept on?! My husband suggested it and I was like I've never heard of this place but we decided to try it out. Best burgers we've ever had and cooked exactly how we asked. Wait staff was nice and friendly. We're coming back next time we visit gatlinburg.

Service is friendly and fast. Atmosphere is perfect for any occasion. I enjoyed some moonshine, whiskey, and a cold beer with some catfish bites and a patty melt. Would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable place to grab a good drink and/or meal. Prices are as fair as they come. Loved the party melt so much, came back a second time and tried the onion rings. Even better than the fries.

We've been to Howard's Steakhouse several times over the years. It is a solid choice we can rely on, and it feels cozy and local. The staff are friendly, sometimes sharing interesting stories, and tips about local things. The food and service is good and the ambience is nice. We especially love to sit in the back, perched over the mountain stream. We always request this, even in the winter. Parking can be a bit challenging, you have to park out front or on the side--all street parking. Somehow we've always managed.
Great service and loved the atmosphere. Walked right in where there was 2 hr wait at surrounding restaurants. Glad I took the other review advice and got the FGT with pimento cheese. Next time I may be brave and try the pimento cheeseburger w/ FGT. Sounds so good. I got the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and gravy w/ Macncheese. I would get again. My husband got the ribeye but unfortunately they forgot to season it. The steak itself was good meat and cooked well. They corrected by bringing out some seasoning that my husband uses and he said it made a world of difference. The steak would probably have been jam up if that step was not missed. Mushrooms were so good! Our experience was still positive and we will go back.

We chose to go here because it had great reviews. The atmosphere was nice but both the meals we ordered were raw. My hamburger was raw almost all the way through for being ordered medium well there wasn't even a bit of brown to the outside of it like it had been cooked all the way. My husband ordered a medium well steak that was also raw and had more fat than meat so he wouldn't eat it or tell the waitress. If you're wanting a place to go that has good food this is not the place! They were nice to give me back the money for my burger since I did not eat it, but even for paying for 1 meal and a kids meal we still spent $80!

Howard's has very good food and service. We've been here a few times over the years when we visit Gatlinburg, and each time we've been very pleased with our meal. The patio in the back along the stream offers a very nice atmosphere. The steak is excellent and so is the price. Fantastic burgers too.
