Germantown location has seriously gone down hill since the pandemic. I get it, staffing shortages, inflation, and controlling costs. But this place might as well close down. Rude and uncaring staff and , higher prices for smaller portions. I've been a big fan of Newk's for at least 10+ years. But after my last visit, it's become my last. $15 for half sandwich and half cup of soup only to have it basically tossed on the table and the server was halfway across the room before I could look up and say thank you. The no longer serve food in dishes as you used to get. It's all small take out portions, in plastic containers. This has happened past several visits, so sadly I will not be returning again. Food was still good, but everything else was terrible.

My wife and I were referred here by family. I had their famous salad and my wife had tortilla soup. Both were huge servings and very good. However, the highlight was Ms. Trish who works the floor taking very special pride in her guests. My wife ask for some tortillas and she brought me a small cup of soup to try upon bringing the tortilla chips. I also attempted to get up and fill my drink and she ordered me back down and filled it for me. I watched her say hello to everyone that walked in and goodbye to everyone that walked out. She knew a great many of the customers and always said when she would see them again. It was so pleasant to have good food with a beautiful sole that loves her job, taking great care of us. We will be back.

I visited this location due to working Uber Eats. The shopping and town centre looks like Germantown, yes it does. However, it is a bit confusing. I ended up parking in the garbage dumpster area. Better signage and navigation is needed. The order was ready to go upon arrival.

My daughter is 16 been working for NEWK’S on Germantown for a year and she always sent her availability schedule in to the Manager that she was told to do so. So she thought she was off.come to find out the manager got fired and didn’t ANYBODY know about it.the Man Matt that just started running the location took her off the schedule and STILL Hasn’t tried to inform her that he fired her. She went to work and couldn’t clock in and he won’t Answer his phone to even talk to her. She is a 16 year old that works harder than Many up there. Comes in when their short handed works double shifts when needed. The Manager Matt has Personal problem with the old manager that hired her and Personally fired my daughter Without her Knowledge and still hasn’t said Anything to her. She is a Minor and it’s Not Right nor Fare for that to have got done to her in that way. Especially when she had NO knowledge of what’s going on. And as her mother I will be taking further actions

Rude inattentive staff. After 40 minutes of waiting the manager let me know they were going to start making my food. He really didn’t let me know that until I asked him to status. I presume had I not inquired I would still be there. I understand that I have to wait, it seems they could be more professional and polite.

Ordered a Ham and Swiss... But when I got it home, there was no Swiss cheese on it. Obviously Newk's does not hire staff capable of the art of putting Swiss cheese on a Ham and Swiss.The wilted lettuce belonged in a dumpster, and 2 measly slices of tomato.Not one of their staff was wearing a mask, either. So I paid for a Swiss-less Ham and Swiss with potentially Covid on it.Do not eat here (1730 S Germantown Rd, Germantown, TN 38138). Don't waste your money. Go to Firehouse Subs instead. Same price, 10 times the quality.

I definitely agree with some of the reviews. They need better staffing and need to have their employees wear mask especially working over food. From when I started coming here to now. They management seems like they don’t care about regulation or having good customer service. For the location, they need to do better with employees. I don’t need an rude and not welcoming attitude first thing walking in.

I used to love Newks but the past few times I've been it has been inconsistent and disappointing. I usually get the Newks Q or chicken salad sandwich. It was not good chicken salad and they put wayyy too much on it this past time. The customer service was also not good.

While Ordering food at the Newks in Germantown 9/17/2021 rude staff taking our order. Also none of the employees were wearing a mask. We are under a mask mandate in Shelby County. All patrons were doing the proper procedure. My wife’s salmon was super salty and the chicken pizza I ordered was 1/2 burnt. Only positive was the ice tea and there big cups. Probably be the last time we visit for a while.

So my wife said "hello" nicely to the lady taking our order, she did not reply, in fact she didn't say anything other than how much our total was, my wife said "thank you" when she gave her the credit card, the lady just rolled her eyes. At the time I'm writing this we have a mask mandate in Shelby County, and everyone was wearing a mask except for the guy refilling the cups for the soda fountain, he was having a really loud conversation with the girl cleaning a table all the way at the other side of the dining area, since they were far away from each other they had to yell in order to listen to each other, I went and ask for a Togo box for our sandwiches to the same lady who took our order since there was no one else behind the counter, she brought me a small cake container, I asked her if she had something bigger or if I could get another container since I got 2 sandwiches left over and they wouldn't fit in that small container she didn't say anything again she just turned around shaking her head. So my in my first and last visit to this location I experience rudeness and unprofessionalism, today's date is Sept 8 2021, I write the date because reviews stay on this for years while employes often do not, specifically on restaurants, I know because I have worked in a few. Unless you are reading this a few months after I post this. My recommendation is to drive a couple of extra miles down poplar Ave. To the location on poplar and states. That's where I often go for lunch and the service is great.
