I have been a patient of *********************** for years. Every visit is *******************, friendly and thorough. The practice stays current on procedures and technologies for eye care. Everyone there is courteous and helpful. Somehow they always make the visit a pleasure.

Outstanding service!! Knowledgeable staff and Doctors. They are all kind, friendly, helpful and easy to work with. I have a very odd prescription and they work until it's just right! Can't say enough good things about these folks and this office.

I love going to this office. I have Macular Degeneration and they are experts in this field. I now see Dr. Andrew ***** They have over and above to take care of my vision.

I was visiting family but during my stay my left eye began to bother me. I called the office as soon as they opened was given an appointment for that morning. From the time I walked in to end of the appointment the service was outstanding. If you are looking for outstanding service and wonderful eye care I highly recommend this group. Very very professional.

Over the last few years I have had numerous occassions to visit the Optical Boutique. My reasons have been everything from routine checkups, relatively minor issues, new glasses and now pre and post cataract attention. Over that time all three doctors, Steven, Andrew and Eleanor have tended to my needs. The staff is professional , friendly and accomodating. Scheduling is quick and easy with appointment reminders sent. I never feel rushed or unimportant. This is the only optical choice for me. Rick

I had my annual eye exam with Dr. Steven **** on July 5. Taylor took care of me with the "preliminaries". She patiently and thoroughly explained what each eye test was for as she guided me through them. My exam with Dr. **** was thorough, yet relaxed. He is the most personable doctor I have ever had, conversing with me about my family, and always showing the utmost concern about my eye health. I highly recommend The Optical Boutique for vision care!

Dr N*** is awesome!! She is professional and personable and very thorough! I highly recommend The Optical Boutique. They provide more therapeutic and in depth services besides contact and eyeglasses.

This place was such a disappointment considering the glowing Yelp reviews and how much I like Sweet Grass. We tried the place out for dinner on a recent Thursday evening...we came right at 5:00, and didn't get out until after 7:00. Shockingly, we were the only table in the entire dining room until towards the end when a couple also joined the party...there were four people in the bar. As such, you would think we would get pretty attentive and prompt service...nope. We had the fried oysters to start...they could have been pretty good but by the time we got them, they had been sitting around so long they were only lukewarm. They were also seriously underseasoned...please salt your fried items after they come out of the fryer! Inexplicably, the side of creamed corn came out with the appy instead of with the entrees. I had the duck breast, which I actually liked, though I can understand some of the negative reviews. Duck is not an ideal protein to sous vide...though it keeps the meat moist and juicy, which this was, it does not render any of the fat. As a result, the duck breast was served with a thick layer of fat intact under the soggy skin. If you have to add color to the duck anyways, why not score the skin and crisp it on the stove? Torching it doesnt crisp the skin. In any case, the duck was served on top of some grilled portobellos and a fried mashed potato cake. There was a miserly drizzle of jus...I could not tell you how that tasted since there wasn't enough of it to do more than to merely stain the plate. My wife had the worst rendition of chicken and waffles we had ever seen...it was just a big plate of beige blech. The fried chicken breast's thick, soggy breading was pretty much falling off the meat...the meat remained relatively moist due to the brine bath it took, but I have fonder memories of McChicken patties. The presumably Belgian-style waffles were worthy of war crime prosecution...we were warned by the waiter beforehand that they were having problems with the waffle and he (nobly) didn't want to serve an inferior product...did he see what he finally brought out? You could see the waffle wasn't cooked enough as it barely had any color...it was so underdone that it tore when they removed it from the iron. But that didn't seem to bother the cook...he just jammed it together and tried to hide the tear under the chicken! The waffle was so soggy it couldn't even be cut with a knife. What a joke...it had to be the single worst thing I have seen and tasted in entire time in Memphis. Oh, and all the entrees were lukewarm (no surprise there). We were hopeful of some redemption from the pineapple upside down cake...it was ok. But it wasn't a true upside down cake...it tasted like a cupcake that they turned upside down, put a ring of pineapple on, then poured a bit of caramel...as a result, it was pretty dry. At least there wasn't anything wrong with the ice cream. It's not like this two hour ordeal was for a tasting menu or a slow, romantic evening of savoring food and company. It was just long and painful. Ugh.

My favorite restaurant in Memphis! I'm not sure what took me so long to try this place. We went for dinner and brought a friend's (very well behaved, quiet) baby. We called ahead to make sure this was okay, and the hostess was more than gracious about it. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor with our big group. My favorite items include the blackberry smash, dirty pig fries, and the red snapper entree. Heads up that the sides are huge and definitely for sharing. I also highly recommend this place for brunch. We can't wait to go back.

Southward was a risk for me. I wasn't feeling a certain Asian chain down the street for our team dinner, so I convinced my boss to give Southward a shot. After speaking to the very pleasant and helpful chef/owner Ryan, I felt pretty confident about our dinner. They seated our party of ten at a beautiful, long wood table at the back, center of the restaurant, which was perfect. We could all talk and enjoy the ambiance of the place. The interior is cleanly designed, with a modern eclectic feel. High ceilings, a collection of mis-matched antique chandeliers, artwork, and heavy wood furnishings gave the space a comfortable, modern appeal. Our server was great all night, but the timing between apps and dinner was pretty long (forgivable due to the size of the group). We ordered just about everything off the menu, and the highlights were: the fries, meat/cheese board, tomato caprese salad, catfish cakes, snapper, shrimp and grits, and the scallops. The pate on the charcuterie board was absolutely dynamite! Unfortunately, I ordered the duck, which could have been an over-the-top signature dish, but it lacked a little on the execution. There were some extra fatty pieces left on the duck, and there weren't nearly enough portabella mushrooms to balance out the potato cakes on the bottom. The desserts were cleverly presented, but difficult to eat in tall mason jars. Also, they were a little heavy on the whipped cream. Fantastic place to try out if you're staying at the Hilton, and it provides a solid alternative to all the over-priced chain spots in the area.

Although there were only a few things I thought were actually wrong with the experience (food too salty, slow service from the kitchen because of wrong preparation of the food,), I felt that the prices were way overpriced for what we experienced. For example, the watermelon mojito was $12. Ridiculous. The Sea Scallops were $23 and there were 3 of them and they were salty. So, it was good, but be prepared to pay too much for what you are experiencing.

There are two good reasons to eat at this restaurant. The first (and in my opinion the most important), reason is the bar. Great libations, great mixologist (Chris, but there's two of them...) fantastic experience. The second is the shrimp pirlau - beautiful stew. Every thing in the stew, and there are several "things", can be tasted in every bite. The best description I can give for this dish is "brilliant".

We went to dinner there with a large group of people (5 adults and 2 kids) at 5:30 pm. The place was not too busy as the after work crowd was just starting to trickle in and it was too early for the dinner crowd. We were seated at a table next to the kitchen in an alcove, which was nice but felt dingy (maybe because the walls looked dingy and had paint chipped in a few places) I'm not sure if it was the the service or the kitchen, but the food did not come out together and it was luke warm at best (except for the food for the kids which was too hot to eat). The food probably would have tasted better if it had been hot. Also the kids food came out well after all the other entrees had been served. The fried green tomatoes were not served with the pepper relish. So it makes me wonder if all our food was prepared completely. The server had to be asked twice for children's menus and she kept forgetting things. She didn't bring my drink out until our entree was served. I don't recall a check back until we were done and that was more to push the desserts, which I would have liked to try. However since we had already waited over an hour for our food to come out that was out of the question. Overall I was sorely disappointed with my experience. For the cost of the dinner, the overall experience has made going back less desirable.
