For those of you that like hipster sour coffee, this is your place. For those of you in Hendersonville - go to Kave down the street and then talk to me.

Tried for the first time so maybe I got a bad one! But my Standard bagel sandwich is incredibly dry. I’m not sure why they heated it up with the cream cheese already on it but it feels so torched that it’s inedible.

Good atmosphere for a local coffee shop. The espresso is good, as are the pastries. They have decaf espresso and coffee which is a huge plus. They didn’t have regular sugar at the coffee station or utensils which I thought was odd. Plenty of seating.

I really want to like this place because it's in such a convenient location However I've never had a positive experience. Every time I've come here you wait a minimum of 10 minutes for a single coffee, more likely to be closer to 20-30 minutes if you make the mistake of going through the drive thru. They are always out of food/syrups/milks. It's crazy, no matter what you order they will be out of at least one component required to make it. I decided to give them a last chance before sticking to Starbucks. Showed up around 10am on a Sunday and attempted to order a coffee and plain bagel. They said they can't make food on Sundays ‍ this place is wild. Definitely sticking to Starbucks in the future

I always love stopping by this shop when I’m in the area. Their baristas are always so kind, the coffee is always on point, and I CRAVE their baked goods! Sumner county’s best espresso hands down!

Food: the display pastries did not look inviting- as if they were sitting there for multiple days. And I made the mistake of ordering one anyway. The scone was bigger than my hand. The orange flavor of the cranberry orange scone came through very well, but overall, the scone was not satisfying. The texture was more like dense bread than a buttery, flaky pastry and for something that is supposed to be made of butter, the scone was on the dry side. Sad. The service, however, was impeccable and the ambience was pleasant like a neighborhood corner coffee shop should be. Lastly, the coffee was nowhere near hot; it was lukewarm. Other Black Press shops may be better, but this one is in the neighborhood and I wanted to support them, especially since they're across a parking lot from Starbucks. Starbucks' brew is dreadful but at least it is hot. Disappointing, as I really wanted to enjoy Black Press. I didn't even feel like bringing up the order's shortcomings to the staff. I'll caffeinate elsewhere instead

Best coffee shop I’ve ever been to! I’m a daily customer. The Cuban is my favorite but they have a lot of other drinks that are just yummy. I only buy their coffee to brew at home it’s that good!!!! Also, the people that work there are very friendly and I enjoy having conversations with them!

After moving away from Nashville to Hendersonville I was in need of local suggestions and was told by multiple people to check out this place. While I'm extremely grateful that they were open on one of the snow days when most people were closed, I had the worst coffee I've ever had. I'm not sure if the vanilla syrup was bad, if the espresso in the latte was burnt, or both. But it was unbearable to drink. I didn't go back because I waited until I was home to try it and wasn't getting back out in the snow. Seeing their ratings, I might give them one more shot, but I can't get over how bad the coffee was and can't say I will visit again with any haste. Two stars because I don't want to leave just one, hoping they just had an off day because of the snow Update: unfortunately I am changing my review from two starts to one. I decided to try this place one more time hoping I had visited on an off day the first time. Today I ordered my latte and this girl was much friendlier than the lady last time! I was very pleased with her service. I was hopeful that I would get a good cup of coffee because I learned Kave is closed on Sundays. I ordered a lavender latte but when I got to the window I had asked if they made my drink yet. She said it hadn't been made and asked me what I wanted to change. I saw honey as a flavor on the menu after I ordered so I just wanted to change the syrup flavor. She was happy to do it and said "we want you to have what you want" - again, her service was great! When she handed me the honey latte she said, "here let me give you this too" and then handed me a lavender one. So today I actually got to try two coffees - which makes me feel more sane and validated considering they're both horrible. Just as bad as last time. Part of me wonders if it's the businesses process or products maybe, and hopefully not human error. It's the coffee, it's burnt horribly, or just not good to begin with. Because she was so sweet and gave me two, I don't have the heart to go back and ask for it to be remade. I wish this place was good because it's so close to where I live. But after 3 bad lattes, I think I've learned my lesson.

We love black press coffee. Try the cold brew and add the peppermint foam. Delish. The breakfast bagel sandwiches are also a morning staple.

Asked for more milk in coffee and the lady said that would be a latte in a snide way.

If you love good quality coffee, this is the best place around! It’s got the quality of a really snoody coffee place but without any of the snoody-ness. I’ve been a regular here for a few years and I spend more time here than just about anywhere else. The people who work here are great and they are all skilled at what they do.
