Food was good as normal, but prices on the board and online do not match what we were charged. A Philly cheese steak on the board is listed as $8.65, but we were charged 8.99, kids menu is labeled as 8.39, we were charged $9.39. It was also listed as $5.99 to make a combo and we were charged $6.55.Complete false advertising. Can’t afford to eat here and won’t be back due to overcharging.

This is a fresh specialty sandwich shop. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. I ordered the Chipotle cheese steak sandwich with mushrooms that an employee recommended to me. It was delicious. My wife had a BLT and loved it. French fries were homemade and delicious. Iced tea was top notch. Overall I had a better experience here at Sax than I did at McAlisters. I will recommend this place to friends.

We're vegetarians that live right next to Sax and have enjoyed their black bean patties a lot. However, we've had our issues with Sax. Things like they've forgotten to give us items on our deliveries and given us the meat patties by mistake. Every issue we've had with them they willingly fixed.However, when we came in most recently we were served an uncooked grilled cheese (we packed it up and decided to just cook it at home) and cheese fries covered in bacon bits.When I went up to request the cheese fries without bacon the cashier already knew we had requested them without bacon and said "it's only a little bit". I had to specifically ask them to make it again where she rolled her eyes and complained about it in the kitchen (it's an open kitchen).When the cheese fries finally came out we found more bacon in them. We now wish we'd salted the fries before sending them back because we're pretty sure the kitchen just fished out as much bacon as they could then put a small layer of cheese on top. If it weren't for how the cashier and kitchen acted I wouldn't have even assumed that.

Stale burger bun, and dry, puny patty, way too much mustard on Sax's namesake burger. French dip meat is portioned for a half sandwich even though it's on a full roll. Very cheap meat. Like steak-ums quality. Raw onions, in copious amounts, in what I can only assume is a failed effort to make up for the lack of meat on the sandwich. No dipping sauce, (maybe because I ordered soup they stole my cup?) Cup of French onion soup tastes canned. Except it also came topped with raw onions. Which... idk, gross. French fries were soggy with grease. Too expensive for amount of food received, and quality of food received.

We love this local treasure. They are in a unique building and have an expansive menu for everyone. The fries are amazing and hot every time we go. Their sandwiches are made to order and come out piping hot. They have a small kids menu, but our daughter never turns down the fries and loves the grilled cheese. They also serve salads and soups. Most sandwiches can be made into wraps. Try this place if you are visiting the cities around Nashville or are a local and want a yummy deli/grill to take your family.
